      July 2024 I financed a dirt bike for about 5k through unitus. Somewhere between unitus and the dealership there was a mistake on the *** of bike eventually the mistake was corrected or so I had been told. I submitted insurance to unitus and went on not thinking much of payments as they were on autopay. Around Jan ************************ my credit score and I immediately investigated. Ive never been late on a payment and had a credit score of 804. Unitus was saying I had a delinquent account because they had, without notification, charged me for not having insurance. I had insurance but unitus had the wrong *** so it wasnt matching up as insured. Unitus never refunded me the money and I tried multiple times to talk with them and explain the mistake is on the dealership or unitus. One of the times I tried to explain I shouldnt be charged for a mistake thats not mine the employee (**** *****) yelled at me and said he doesnt care h*** just have them repo the bike. I paid the charges that were over ** and then chose to pay off the loan so Id never have to deal with them again. My credit score has dropped to 700 however and will impact my future for years to come.

      This should not say...as a courtesy... They were wrong to say my payment was ever late. They are wrong to charge me over ****** for one month of insurance. That's more than 6 minutes coverage for 3 vehicles.. one is a 2024.  they locked my account from me accessing it. WORST company ever!!!

      I should not be made to pay for Unitus' easily avoidable error. Negligence and a gross lack of research have adversely affected my finances. Furthermore, the representatives I have spoken to have been insulting, rude, and unwilling to help. This issue has not been resolved satisfactorily and I would like to pursue further action.

The first representative I spoke to accused me of knowingly stealing the money. I then spoke to a supervisor who again told me they would "investigate" and reach out to me. I never heard anything.On May 15th, 2025, I spoke to ******* at my local branch. He printed images of the checks for me, which clearly have an account number on them that does not match my account number. I again asked for a ********************** covering the two charges that were reversed and he refused. He called the credit line customer service while I was in the office and I was assured I would get a call back. That was over one month ago and I have heard nothing.This mistake was clearly due to negligence on Unitus' end that they refuse to take responsibility for. I am again asking for a credit to be applied to my credit card in the amount of $964.00.

      I have paid off my car loan with an amount that was to be refunded which is approximately $400. They refunded in March and mailed a "CASHIERS" check to the wrong address. My former landlord will not forward me the wrongly received check. Now I am told by Unitus that they can not put a stop payment on it for 90 days and have refused to do so and will not issue me my money. I don't see how this "cashiers check", wrong address has become my issue. That is an overpayment and my money. I'm extremely upset with this. I left a domestic violence situation their lack of empathy and understanding that I will never see that wrongly addressed mail is unacceptable.

      I am rejecting this response because: I signed it because they made me think that I did had the full insurance with the unemployment and he did not do it even you can check the phone call I said that I wanted full insurance cover if I lost my job and the loan office choose what he wanted and even one of the told me 2 weeks ago that why did I wanted full coverage it was too expensive I said I did not care and no they don't take nothing serious because if they did then the loan office would have choose what I requested not what he thought.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      multiple attempts were made to find a resolution.  Please dont think you can throw terminology around and have it be accepted as a resolution.  There were no attempts to notify me or alert me of any transaction that were considered fraudulent.  When I notified Unitus of actual fraud I was told I will have to pay a fee on each fraudulent transaction in addition to any fees caused by the transaction.  I have made multiple attempts to get an explanation on which transactions were fraudulent and by no means was I given any answer other than to call *****  Upon calling ***** they were unaware of any suspicious activity and told me it was an issue on the financial institution side.  I reach out to Unitus again with this information and was told its actually an Apple Pay issue.  So I call ***** support and again no suspicious activity on their end.  After again dealing with Unitus support today after another declined transaction I was then told my credit card was shut off by 3rd party Falcon on 1/24 .  Again no information was shared with me.  I will close this account when I return .  I will also ensure that my experience is shared with all on as many platforms I can.

      Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address Mr. ******* complaint. After investigating the matter, we found that in ******** Mr. ***** responded to our automated fraud detection call, indicating that the transactions attempting to process through his credit card were fraudulent. Consequently, the card was blocked. The automated call also provided instructions on how to reorder a new card. However, we have not received any requests from Mr. ***** to order a new card.

      To help protect members, high risk transactions are flagged. We apologize that at times valid transactions may be stopped. Members can call or chat with us to assist in letting valid transactions process. We also encourage members to use the alerts function in the Card Guard app which texts members each time a transaction attempts to process.

      The timing of debit card transactions appearing on a member's account depends on the specific merchant. Unitus posts all debit card transactions as we receive them from the merchant. Additionally, when a member uses an *** outside of the ***OP network, which includes over ****** ***s, there will be charges. This information is detailed in our account agreement and displayed on the *** screen at the time of the transaction.
      Our website and mobile app feature a search function to help members locate a ***OP *** in their area. If Mr. ***** has further questions or wishes to order a new credit card, he can contact us directly at ************.

      Dont do business with this credit union.. I have a loan thru them unfortunately. Bought a new bike, called insurance and asked for a policy. They issued one..turns out did not meet the banks requirements or whatever? They charged me for some extra insurance bs , there was never any lapse of coverage and nothing happened, I hap my payments set on auto pay so it was never late not one cent or one minute, but the ding my credit with impartial payment and even sent a repo notice over some stupid Was at the beginning of the loan you would think they would do business in good faith, I paid them just because I dont want to deal with the hassle. But I will never do business with this credit union again.. there website *****, and they make it hard and annoying to make a principal only payment stay away!!!

      I have been trying to dispute this account and get it off my record. I have sent many letter with proof of fraud on my account and financial abuse at the time. I got sent to collections. I need this resolved ASAP
