I was approved for an apartment in ***********, ******, by Pacific Village Apartments in May. This was after an $80 application fee. I then paid $500 deposit on May 31st. I was awaiting the lease form to be sent and was suppose to have access to the apartment by June 7th. Pacific Village Apartments then notifies me on June 4th they were not going to give me the apartment and decided to remodel it and charge more and they no longer had apartments at the price I wanted, I denied accepting an apartment for more money a month then applied for. They said they weren't sure how to refund me my $580 (for application and deposit). After two weeks of calling I finally got ahold of office manager and she apologized for situation and said they are trying to figure out refund with owner. I was called on June 18th and was asked to clarify my address so they may send refund check. I have not received check and it has been a month now. On June 25th I called their office and the worker said they were unsure what was going on with my refund or if it even got sent or approved. I would like the money I spent for a service (renting an apartment) that was no longer available to me after being approved and paying deposit. It has been two months since being approved and over a month since being told I would be refunded, does not take this long to get a check together when it is well past date I was suppose to get apartment in the first place.
