Sales guy gets me excited about real estate magazine partnerships and associated events. He is relentless and eventually gets me for a reduced deal blah blah. The company name is wrong and so is the email so I ask him to correct it, bunch of back and forth. Then I am embarrassed to say like 2 weeks later he gets me again for a more favorable region. Total was to be $1900 for both placements for 2 years.Well a month later, we are working on the art and we get charged again, and no one answers emails or phones. A month later, charged again. No returns so I start blowing them up and I finally get an owner or operator who promises a refund on the overages but wont let me out of the deal. I don't want to work with them anymore. He tells me the other guy has been fired and he doesn't know what my problem is. I STILL have not been refunded the over charges and I am afraid we will be charged again. He told me it was my fault for not reading his contract...I still haven't been refunded the auto over charges and I'm not sure they will stop. I want out *** they just keep lying and insisting they did nothing wrong but still have my wrongful money and have delivered nothing since my first payment 3/11. They have taken 3380 from us total and I can see from here and other sites that they are doing this alot.Business Response

This customer purchased from multiple sales reps. *** of good faith we did issue a refund that was not necessary, but done out of good faith. The customer proceeded to pitch us his business management services which we had no interest in. because of this, we feel like the customer is issuing these complaints out of retaliation. He has been given proof of shipping and delivery. His products have been delivered and we consider this complaint closed.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:We were over charged twice by mistake which was admitted but only refunded one as I have shown several times.
They said they fired the *** that I dealt with (1) and that they were not responsible for the deals he made but would not refund. They have refused services and overcharged us unjustly and will not refund. They refunded 1 of the 2 wrong charges and said they would do both in the correspondence.
I offered services because it looks like hes running a scam and he said he was legitimate but he is clearly not. He told me they did nothing wrong? This is just how they do business.
We have at least one fradulent charge and a refusal to provide services that we paid for, we would like a full refund. I have already shown proof of overcharges twice and the email says he will "consider weather to honor their side." This has been going for 6 months now... We were promised a refund two or three times in the email correspondence I submitted.
Sincerely,

It clearly states in our contract that if client does not submit artwork in a timely manner that there is a cost associated with this. **** can't seem to grasp this. I will send a refund check for the graphics fee, however his advertising has already been delivered ahead of schedule. We will not be refunding the additional money he paid for services already rendered and we should not be asked to give free advertising to someone. This is a print booklet and it is not possible to remove him or his company as the booklet has already been printed containing his company. Nothing about what we do is a scam. We have thousands of happy customers who don't have an issue reading the simple paragraph of terms on our one page contract. We have placed the check in the mail to the address we have on file and consider this complaint closed.Initial Complaint

We bought an advertisement through a book they sell for home builders, and they double charged our card twice and refuse to refund the additional $1,000 that they charged our card. We have been trying to work with them since September of last year and we keep getting the run around. We would like to get the extra money we did not authorize to be refunded to us.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Please leave this case open until we receive the check. When we receive the check, I will reach back out to the BBB to close the case. This request is just for tracking purposes, so emails don't get lost.

I have an open case with Homeowners Avenue. Please do not close that case until we get our money back from the owner ****** who owns the business. He has threatened me and threatened to have me fired because I have been persistent in getting our refund from December. He threatened me via email for making this complaint even. If you want the screenshots of the email I can send them to you for tracking purposes. I can guarantee we never get a check or tracking because he said he was going to help us the end of January with this by calling his bank and he never did, I also have that in email. Thank you, *****Customer Answer

We have sent a check to this customer. They have not cashed it. We would be willing to cancel the check and email one over today to finalize this complaint. This was a case of an employee at their organization not having the authority to purchase something and management getting mad at her. If you look at the reviews of their construction company online, They clearly ignore people on purpose. It is their standard operation and this is nothing different. The person writing this bbb complaint is simply an employee at the construction firm we're advertising with who got in trouble with being over zealous with our program and blaming it on our company. The woman who is complaining honestly has no authority to even complain as she doesn't make any choices and isn't the owner of the construction company in question.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: We never received a check and provided proof to the business of the double charge on our card, they refuse to work with us and continue to ignore any attempts at communication. They refuse to talk to our division president and we have received zero tracking after they said they would. We just want to get this done and corrected. They just continue to delay and refuse to correct an accounting error made on their end which from a federal stand point what they are doing is wire fraud across state lines. I am not going to close this case until we reach a resolution or this can stay on the BBB website for the 3 years they said it would since the business refuses to work with us.
Sincerely,

Well, Lets try it this way. We have now emailed the refund check to View homes. We have included a screen shot of the payment for the BBB's review. If you look at the reviews for View homes - They do this to hundreds of people. Hopefully the BBB can see the check was CLEARLY sent and we can settle this complaint. Thanks!Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
We finally did recieve a check via email. Since ****** knows nothing about our company and would like to create a false narrative of us based off his lack of education, at least we do not have a ******** group dedicated to our company scamming people the example provided is only 1 of 100s on that group, as well as, have to have our employees backload our ****** My Business reviews with fake 5 star reviews to hide unsatisfactory ones. We have blacklisted Homeowners Avenue's services from all of our divisions and will not work with them again. Thank you for finally sending this check.
Sincerely,

This company called to have us place an ad in a ************** for the ************** in ******, CO located at: *********************************************. This company has multiple 1 star reviews that recently hit showing they've done this to others and it's a standard business practice of theirs. They have not performed the goods or services they advertised or sold to us which was a magazine ad for 2 years at $995.00 that is to go in the *************** Guide book and be distributed at their open houses, events, and tradeshows. In addition to that, we were to be invited to a meet and greet event. This company was paid and has not answered their phone, delivered any of the graphic design, ad approvals, or correspondance discussed, and is not returning our calls. After calling the **************, we have found out that they have not contracted witth Homeowners Avenue to do this, and that they have received other phone calls from the community as well. This behaviour is criminal and needs to be shut down immediately.Business Response

This customer is mistaken in every way. If you simply read the contract, it states we have 150 days to deliver the product. This customer signed up a few weeks ago. (1/30/2025) We still have plenty of time to get our product out. (generally the home market opens up in spring when we deliver product. We also have a contract with the ****************** in question - ************** in ******. This customer called a random ***** real estate agent and bombarded them with questions they didn't have the answer to. We work with staff and management at the office when getting the Community Guidebooks set up. This contract was initiated by the managing broker with ************** - ******* ********. I have included the hand signed contract with ************** to show this customer is altering the truth to fit their narrative. We have been in business for many years and have always had a clean reputation when it comes to customer satisfaction. The customer (***********) has agreed to this contract before any payment was received. We have serviced tens of thousands of customers over the years. We have always been under contract with anyone involved with our programs or advertising. It's pretty disheartening for this client to make a huge fuss when they're 100% in the wrong. I would ask that this false information is removed from the BBB as our contracts and provided documentation prove that the complaint is a lie, its inaccurate, and ultimately it is something that the client could be found liable in court for. - direct violation of FTC rule 16 CFR part 465.Initial Complaint

Company uses deceptive sales tactics to lure people into signing contracts they claim are unable to be canceled. Upon requesting a cancelation of the contract, was immediately met with hostility. Left a ****** review for the company, as the CEO of the client company -- they decided to attempt to review bomb my location in response.Business Response
