On September 18, 2023 at 12am in the morning my vehicle was towed out of my apartment complex for alleged "parked not in the designated car port" reason. Management of ********************** had provided notice to 21st century towing regarding an ongoing maintenance work in the complex which effects the used of designated car ports of a number of residents including myself. Upon approaching the driver to try an explain to him that he is doing a mistake, he dismissed me saying that the vehicle should be parked where it should be parked, and it should've been parked there all along. despite other vehicle of other residents with designated car ports parked in the same area my vehicle was. I had a blatant offer of payment on the spot which I refused. I immediately tried to open my cars door to prevent driver from leaving but he floored the gas pedal and aggressively exited the apartment complex, nearly taking me out with the opened door of my car and without stopping to check for traffic. Later that day when I was receiving my car from the impound yard, a different driver, upon hearing the story, and letting me know that he also patrols that apartment complex and is well aware of current situation with construction, confirmed that this vehicle would not have been towed if it was him, and also stated that the driver involved is known to be an aggressive driver. I find this to be an example of predatory towing practices, especially due to the fact that there were other vehicles with same parking designation situation parked close by, let alone an incompetent staff with aggressive manner of doing their job and putting registered owners of the vehicles at risk of being physically harmed. At the very least I seek a disciplinary action/termination of employment for the involved employee of 21st Century Towing.Initial Complaint

At roughly 7:00 pm. On 8/2/2023 21st century towing. tried hooking up my car to there tow truck. When I was at a friend's apartment. There is not any designated parking places at these apartments. There is not permit parking or assigned parking. They have been illegally towing people from these apartments alot. They have even towed vehicles of people who live there. They did not have my car fully hooked up to there tow truck. When I came outside. I was only in my friends apartment for 20 minutes. ****** law states they have to release a vehicle if it is not fully hooked up, which my car was not. I was not blocking a entrance. Or parked by a fire hydrant. Or parked in a blind spot. I was parked there for 20 minutes not over 24 hours. I was not even in someone's assigned spot. They broke 3 laws when illegally towing my vehicle. After I stated to them ****** laws and they had to release my vehicle without a fee. He told me he would not do it unless I paid him ****** or he was going to finish the hookup and take my car. I called the police to get assistance. They said they don't assist in stolen vehicles. I have filed a complaint with my bank for a fraudulent transaction. Since I was forced to do the tranction against my will. I want the towing company held responsible. They were literally trying to steal my car. If I hooked up to there tow truck illegally. I would be charged with UUMV. I want my money back ****** that they illegally took from me. I have also disputed the charge with my bank. I filed a complaint with the ****** department of justice. Claim number ******Initial Complaint

21st century tow started to hook up my car on April 9th around 4:00 p.m. on the corner of Ash and 124th in Southeast ********. My e-brake is on and it is a manual. He said I was parked blocking a crosswalk and I've never had issues parking there before and everybody in my building takes that parking spot as well. He hooked up my car and started Towing it and as he was driving down the street my boyfriend and I both saw the car started to smoke and at that point ran after the car and got inside and stopped the toe and paid him to put my car down but he ruined my back brakes and I'm trying to file a claim with the tow company and get compensated for the $200 I paid to have my car put down. They are denying faultInitial Complaint

The tow truck came into my apartments and hooked my car up to their tow truck. When I came outside to tell them hey I live here and I have a parking pass, he proceeded to tell me he will drop it for a fee. I told him no he's going to drop it for free and I'm calling the police. while on the phone with the 911 operator he screamed at me to get the f*** out his face. The operator told me that they have been getting calls like this lately, saying tow truck drivers are picking up nice vehicles and waiting for the owners to come outside so they can pay to get their vehicles dropped. When I told the tow truck driver that the police were on the way he said he's going to do me a favor and drop it. The next day the tow truck driver came and seen me in my car and did a U turn and left. Then the next day they drove in directly to my car in my parking spot and hooked it up. I watched them do it. Then I go outside and ask what are you doing? He says he was waiting for me to come outside. I told him to drop my car now. He told me I need to speak nicely to him. I told him to drop my car and leave me alone. I called the company and spoke to the supervisor ****, but he proceeded to laugh at me when I told him what was going on. He said they are going to keep doing it and they have no solution . So I hung up on him because he was no help.Initial Complaint
