Renters and homeowners avoid this company. My wife and I leased a townhome managed by Habitat Resource Properties, and problems began immediately. The unit was filthy at move-in despite being told it was cleaned: urine under toilet seats, sticky cabinets, food stains in the fridge, and dirty carpets. We spent two full days cleaning. When I sent photos, the manager, *******, only said, Sorry about that. Thank you for the feedback.Maintenance was unsafe and unprofessional. One handyman shocked himself multiple times fixing an outlet and refused to let me shut off the breaker. Another admitted he wasnt a handyman at all, and I had to help him, losing 4+ hours of work. ******* offered only $20 in credit. The dryer failed repeatedly, yet after multiple service calls we were told nothing was wrong. Only after months of complaints was it replaced, during which time we had to air-dry clothes for days.Later, our water heater failed. Because ******* filled out paperwork incorrectly, the company could not install the replacement, and we went without hot water for 45 days while she blamed others. When it came time to renew our lease, we gave the required 3 months notice and agreed to a rent increase, but weeks before our lease expired, we were suddenly told the owner changed her mind. This forced us to move with almost no notice. Finally, they withheld part of our deposit for carpet cleaning and painting, despite the carpets being dirty when we moved in and despite me touching up walls with the paint provided. Oregon law is clear that normal wear and tear is not chargeable to tenants, but my dispute emails were ignored and they kept the money. Our experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and costly from beginning to end. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Beware of this agency and stay away from working with *************************** and *****. They were nice at fist while renting the place to us, but when it came to moving out they were dishonest. We had a rental agreement through the beginning of May 2024 and paid our rent faithfully and on time. ******* came to us in the beginning of April 2024 and told us that the rental unit is up for sale and that we are free of the contract and can move at any time. She said properties like ours usually sell within 20 days. We agreed to move out as soon as the property is sold or move out at the end of May 2024 at the latest. When it came time to move out ******* told us that we didnt give her a written 30 day notice and that we would be charged for the month of June as well. She never once mentioned that after receiving a verbal notice she needed a written notice as well. She then refused to communicate with us further and told us to call *****. ***** said that we never told them anything about moving out at the end of May and that its not their business to educate renters on their rights. ***** wouldnt even hear me out and hung up the phone.
