On May 24th, 2023, we paid Busy Hands Montessori $2182. This included the following: $300 enrollment fee, $300 annual material fee, and a $1832 tuition fee (minus the $250 wait list fee we paid prior to this). We paid this amount because at that time, we wanted to enroll our son, *******, for the Fall program (which starts on 9/25/2023). However, after further consideration, our son is not ready for day care due to health concerns. On July 20th, 2023, we notified Busy Hands of our decision and asked for a refund of the money we sent with the understanding that some fees like the wait list fee or annual material fee are non-refundable. However, the response we received from them was that the entire amount we paid was non-refundable. This would mean that of the total amount we paid them ($2432), they would not refund a single *****. I am filing a complaint with BBB because I do not believe that their actions are reasonable or fair. Our son did not attend any classes or use any class materials so I don't understand how they can justify keeping the entirety of our payment. Per the attached e-mail conversations, you will find our attempts to request a partial refund and their responses have been unforgiving. I would greatly appreciate your assistance to review our complaint and help us recuperate some of our losses.
