I visited Assembly Brewing on December 6th, 2022, from roughly 6pm to 9pm. Upon entering the premises, I ordered a drink, and the cashier asked me if I wanted to maintain a tab during my stay at the brewery. I stated yes: I did. I ordered a single drink, remained on premises for three hours, but did not order any additional food or drink. I asked to close out the account bill, and was told the bill was $20.60. I clarified that I had only ordered a single beer, and that there must be an erroneous charge on the account. The cashier, ****, examined the bill, corrected it, and charged me $5 for the single drink. I was provided a charge slip to sign, added a $1 tip, for a total of $6, and left the business. On January 5th 2023, I examined my bank statement to discover that I had been charged twice by Assembly Brewing, on the same date and time, for separate charges of $20.60 and $6.00.On the morning of January 5, 2023, I sent an email message and called the Assembly Brewing business office, leaving a detailed message of the event. On the afternoon of January 5th, I received a return call from "******," an Assembly Brewing manager, who argued the charge with me. I finally suggested that employee error most likely caused the double charge, and that I had retained the original, singular, signed charge slip for $6. I told ****** that if he could not produce a signed slip for $20.60 (which does not exist), he would need to refund the charge of $20.60. ****** reluctantly acquiesced, stated that he did not know how to reverse a charge, and would need to engage the *** (Point of Sale) manager. ****** said he would call me back. ****** never called back.

This is unfortunate, I (******) did in fact call him back that day after getting a hold of our POS guy. The charge was reversed on that day (attached is proof).
