Safe Option ************** was appointed as my Payee for my Social Security benefits. I have tried reaching out to them, requesting an explanation of where my money was going every month. I currently receive public housing and pay very little for rent each month, with the majority of money owed being paid by Housing. I also have electric bills on file to be paid out of my Social Security check. I have been noticing for some time that I have received very little money deposited into my account from **********************, so I have reached out every month for an explanation. I have been yelled at over the phone, hung up on, and told that my landlord asked for more money, which my landlord has confirmed to be false. My daughter became my authorized representative, so she assisted me with getting my records from Safe Option Services. She sent an email on October 8th that was never responded to. In that email she included the legal authorized representative form showing who she was. She made multiple calls to all, numbers listed for this company (****) ************, (***) ************, and ************. All calls and voicemails were ignored until 10/10/25. She was able to get *** on the phone that day. He told us they were currently out of town or state and would get the records to us the following day, 10/11/25, after he verified who my daughter was. He then proceeded to ask questions about why the records were requested and if she would be taking over. After this call, we never heard back from him or received anything by email, as he stated he would send what I've been requesting (My pay logs for my money). After not hearing from anyone, we proceeded to try to contact them again on 10/14/25, but got no answer. Today, we were finally able to get through on ****** number ************. When she answered, we told her we were still waiting on records. She got irate and started yelling on the phone. She does not have to give us anything. This is incorrect by law I have this right.

Thank you for your interest in this matter.  We are unsure who actually made this complaint.  We don't believe ****** is capable of writing such a complaint.  ****** ****** is a vulnerable person who is subject to financial exploitation.  He has a traumatic brain injury.  He has been our client since 2018 (7 years).
We are authorized by the ****************************** to manage the Social Security benefits of those who Social Security deems unable to manage their own benefits.  We are audited by and answer to the *******************************
We tried to attach a file showing that we have paid his rent, and he now has a $50 credit.  Your complaint form would not allow us to attach it.   He pays sewer, trash and water in addition to his rent.  The property manager had not sent us documentation of those charges, so we were calling him every month to confirm the amount to pay.
****** ****** gets $967 SSI.  We were paying $396 to his apartment building monthly per the property manager.  ************ is around $96-$100 per month.  Our fee which is set by Social Security, is $59 per month.
******** daughter is taking over very soon as Representative Payee and we are resigning.
