      In August of 2024, months after Dougall Conradie filed my 2023 taxes, I received a notice from my bank that $220 had been garnished from my account by the **************************** and that the bank charged me a $100 fee for the transaction. A very long and complicated story shortened, I discovered that ODR had been sending all communication to a wrong address. I'd been penalized for not filing Form OR WR associated with my S-corp payroll. Since I never received any notices from *** and then, obviously didn't pay the penalty, ODR pulled that amount right out of my account.I didn't know this form even existed. The accountant, ****, to my honest knowledge, was handling all of the details of preparing and filing my taxes, including ****** operations and payroll. However for 2022, The Form OR WR wasn't submitted and a penalty was incurred. **** filed the form and requested a penalty waiver. This all happened at the same time that I was going through cancer surgery and treatment. Then, for 2023, it happened again - no Form OR WR was filed and I was penalized. This time, I was still recovering and relocating when I could no longer make mortgage payments. The penalty was garnished. **** had already used my "one time" waiver the previous penalty.I was told by *******, a manager, that **** "wasn't engaged for payroll". He was doing it just to be kind during my recovery period. However, he'd done it the year before I was sick and never once communicated that it wasn't his job. He wouldn't return my emails or calls when I started to ask questions. ******* reimbursed the $210 after a year of run-around. She/Dougall Conradie, refuses to return the bank fee of $100 stating, "We do not believe we need to reimburse you for the fee you were charged." Her belief? ****** failure to file the form (or communicate that it wasn't his role), is what precipitated the penalty then the garnishment and fee. I need the $100 and it's a matter of principle.

      Hello,

      As requested, here are the dates:

      I first contacted the **** **** ********, I'd worked with for several years about the issue coming to my knowledge on 8/22/24. I'd received a letter from my bank just a few days prior, notifying me of their fee for processing the garnishment ordered by the ************ of Revenue. I had to call ODR to find out what and why before I contacted ****.

      The last three times I received a response/communication from ******* *******, becasue **** wouldn't respond to me, are from most recent to latest:

      April 9, 2025

      ******* ******* was hired as our ***. She made errors but admitted to not filing an extension and told us she would take care of it. So we trusted that she would keep her word. Then out of the blue, we get a notice saying that we have a charge/penalty for not filing an extension in a timely manner. We emailed and called her but she has not acted on fixing this mistake. I dont know what to do as she has been paid for her services but did not do her job.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Due to the delay in response from ******* at Dougall. The amount of the fees has gone up. We have paid the amount on the collections notice, but we were told there will be a remaining balance due to the delay. I am waiting for the system to update to see how much more we need to pay. I wish for Dougall to take care of the entire balance as they mishandled this entire situation and did not properly communicate their mishandling until BBB had to be brought into this situation. I would appreciate it if Dougall would kindly handle the remaining balance once the *** has updated their system. I can email Dougall the balance with screenshots of remaining amount.

      I have read the rejection.  I'm fine with paying the additional penalties and interest, but we have not received anything from the client to support the additional penalties and interest stated in the rejection.
