I called the business and scheduled appt for diagnosis of dishwasher in two days, Tuesday the day of appointment- no show so I called about 4pm to see when they were coming, the owner didnt remember talking to me or that he had scheduled my appt. weve been really busy. We can be there Thursday. Thursday at 6pm guy shows up, really nice takes apart the door... bad control board. He says he will get price for part tomorrow and give me a call. Friday- no call, Monday no call by 2pm so I call them back. Owner says he thought repair guy called me and he thinks the part is ordered. He will have the repair guy call me.Tuesday no call, Wednesday no call by 2pm, so I call and ask if he has a price on the part yet so I know whats going on. The owner says I thought he called you. I said no, he has never called me ever and I need to know what the cost is so I can decide what to do. He says very rudely Ill tell him to call you and then hangs up on me. Then 5 mins later the repair guy calls, bad news he says. Its gonna be $500 to replace the control board and its a month out from the factory. Side note: the dishwasher new was $499. I found the part on Amazon for $98 and delivery **** days. WHY does no one EVER call me back? And WHY can I get it on Amazon in less than 2 weeks but an appliance repair company cant get one for a month? And WHY $500 for a $98 part?
