I called this store in March under the assumption they were a Comprite IT. The person who answered the phone and helped me, it turns out, is a young man going by "***********************" who owns and runs Artix Computers, LLC out of the Comprite IT space.I asked if they could do a *** upgrade on my 2019 iMac, recover data from a broken external Seagate Hard Drive, and if they'd be interested in buying my 2012 iMac. He said they could help with it all, he set aside the parts for my 2019 iMac upgrade and I went into the store that week.On March 28, 2023 I dropped off my 2019 iMac for the *** upgrade (from 8GB to 16GB) and he said he'd call when it was finished the next day. I paid him $289, charged to my work **** card and I received an email receipt from Artix Computers, LLC. He never did call. I stopped by to pick it up a few days later, and the store was closed even though posted business hours stated they'd be open. I tried again a different day and this time brought my 2012 iMac and external hard drive. They were open, I got my 2019 iMac, and asked about selling my 2012 iMac again. He said he could offer me between $150 and $250 but would need a tech to assess it. He wrote my name and number down on a piece of blue painters tape and stuck it on the computer. I asked about my hard drive and he said "they'd take a look and see what we can do." I asked about pricing and he waved me off and essentially told me not to worry about it. I thought they'd assess it and get back to me with pricing and I could pay for it when I picked it up.When I got home, my 2019 iMac wasn't acting any faster. I checked the settings and it didn't show a *** upgrade at all and was still showing the original 8GB. I called again the next day and asked to speak to ******. He said to bring it back in. I did. No fix was done. This has been going on for months, my 2019 never got fixed and now he can't find my hard drive or 2012 imac, both of which I have reported as stolen to the police.
