On December 17th. I brought my truck into dans auto center for a Lifters repair and anything exclusively related to it. I spoke to the manager ****** their about the costs and the ability to make payments. He expressed that I was allowed to make payments though there credit card system that I had to sign up for. I was not called at all about extra repairs or additional repairs pertaining to the lifters from December 17th 2024- December 31st 2024. I called them to see how was it going, and they said it was ready on new year's eve. As I pick up my vehicle at the shop. The first thing ******** the front desk lady was that I needed to make the payment in full. Confused and frustrated I asked why I was not informed on the new repairs and the payment option change. They said it was all necessary for the initial repairs. I said I could not pull out ***** dollars to get my vehicle and I've been struggling with how to get my car back as fast as possible, because there threating to charge me more for leaving it their.

The customer authorized a $7,566 repair related to lifter and camshaft failure/damage on his personal vehicle.

When the repair was completed the customer was called and came to pick up his vehicle.   It is standard in any industry, payment is expected upon completion of the services, ours is no different. He apparently had no means or arrangement planned on how to  pay for the repair.

Our service adviser had told the customer during the diagnosis/authorization phone call that we work with a financing company but he would have to apply for this on his own (Synchrony Financial).  We assumed he was prepared to pay as he did not call and alert us that he did not have the finances to cover the repair before (or during) we started the job.  The repair took roughly 2 weeks.  When he was trying to pick up his vehicle and I found out he did not have payment, I offered our office computer to him so he could apply for Synchrony Financing, he was  approved  $2,500 but said he had no other way to get together the balance he authorized.

Unfortunately we can not release a vehicle that has not been paid for.  Our parking is also limited so I informed the customer we will have to store the vehicle off site after 2 weeks if he could not pay in full. There is a fee for off site storage.

We have a substantial cost involved in this job and I would like nothing more that for the customer to pay for and get his vehicle back.

In May of 2022 I brought our Jeep Rubicon to Dan's Auto Center in *********** for a water leak. I was told they could fix the leak and it was in the scope of their repair services. Dan's Auto Center told me the leak was fixed and instructed me to pick up the Jeep. I picked up the Jeep and paid the $1137.22 invoice. I drove the Jeep through a car wash immediately after picking it up and water came streaming inside the Jeep. I immediately drove it back to ***'s Auto for further repair. The process of picking up the Jeep, testing it for continued water leak issues and then returning it back to Dan's Auto Center went on for months. Each time the shop was confused and didn't seem to have any idea why the leak persisted. ***'s Auto asked me to take it to another shop to fix it at one point. I called and emailed ***'s Auto Shop several times to ask for a refund of all or part of the invoice I paid. Visible work that was complete: 1) installing some black electrical tape in the door jam that melted and became gooey/sticky mess 2) Attempted to Installed a new rubber door seal that still continues to fall down. 3) Applied black adhesive window seal "kit" that did not fix the water leak
