    This was sent to Trane, and AccuAir on July 26,Case No. 146090/2280012 Wed, Jul 26 at 10:43 AM On July 7, 2023 I had a technician come to the house since the unit was not working properly. In the course of the examination I was told a draft needed to be cleaned in order to properly test the system. Since I am disabled I was unable to do so myself so I asked the technician to do so for me. I was then informed that the "thermal expansion valve" needed to be replaced. That is the same valve that was in question last year, and was refilled with 22 oz. of ***** instead of being replaced. And AccuAir feels it needs to charge me $129.00 for the 15 minutes the technician took to clean the vent he said needed to be cleaned in order to properly test the system's airflow.This is an example of the bull ****, lies, and games, companies like Trane, AccuAir,and before that AirTech, the original installer. (I have requested of AirTech copies of their service records since I have misplaced ours. Following their lack of ethics they have failed to respond) seem to be willing to play on the consumer without fixing the root cause of the problem. This then allows the company to charge for "repairs" on a continuous basis.Since the installation of the system by AirTech ( ******************* there have been nothing but problems with the unit. As long as one runs it on emheat it works just fine. Using the auto function does no real good save for running continuously on either the "heat" cycle, or the "cool cycle".To date we have been through 4 Thermostats, 2 broken/burnt wires, and had 22 ounces of freon replaced due to a leak in the same valve they now claim needs to be replaced.And when I called *********************** to request help I got the same response I always get. First it is the most useless comment any Consumer relations person can use, and it is "I'm sorry". That is a blatant lie. If they were sorry they would find an honest company to work for.The second is "I don't understand what you want". What I want is to be able to go to sleep at night and not worry if the **** unit will keep me warm, or cool. What I want is to find a company that is honest enough to actually stand behind their product, and not nickel and dime me to death with "false repairs".Then too, I could give many examples of furnaces, air conditioners, stoves, TV's, etc., that are ***** years old and still working. But we now live in a "throw away society" where pride in workmanship has been replaced by the need for higher profits, cheap labor, and thus cheaply made products.Oh, and there is that third comment, "Thank you for being the best part of our company, the customer" The "best" part of the company is the profit it makes. To h*** with the customer. He is there only to insure that a profit is made.This was sent to *********************** on May 20 Model # 4A6H4036Q1OOOAB Serial # ********** Heat Pump: Model # *********** Serial # ********** To Anyone That Pretends To Care.Since first filing a complaint on this unit back in 2021 we have had the following "repairs" (at our expense), and the unit does not work right today:When AirTech was still honoring the warranty they did find a wire that was not properly installed. They then refused to service the equipment requiring the consumer to find another installer. Unknown to the consumer this also voided any responsibility for repairs on the part of AirTech.ASAP air found the thermostat to be bad, and needed to be replaced.Next came AccuAir as the repair service. They found the unit was 22 units low on Freon, and replaced it.Then came yet another faulty thermostat. When the repair man was told that was the third thermostat he remarked that indicated something else was wrong, but never sought to find out what.Next came a burnt wire caused by AirTechs faulty installation,And after all of that, and the consumer having to pay $129.00+ an hour for repairs the furnace still is not working as expected,******* says they are not responsible, and never were.AccuAir says they did not install the equipment so they are not responsible.And *********************** does nothing.And the house does not cool down again.

    Business Response

    We didn't read any of that jibberish *** posted to the BBB, we find that to be a waste of time. That system is PTCS tested which is the highest level of testing for an HVAC system and allows for state and government rebates.

    *****************- evaluated the system and found it to be operating effectively.

    Another 3rd party HVAC company who ******************* we are affiliated with also did an evaluation and found it to be operating effectively. FYI ***, we don't know that heating company he is simply another company in the area that we hired at our expense to check your system to verify no mistakes were made by us.

    Like we stated before if you continue this harassment we will be forced to take legal action.

    You are not the home owner our contract doesn't concern you.

    The dirty vent is basic home owner maintenance that we nor any one else except the home owner is responsible for. If the home owner neglects basic maintenance then, crucial parts of the **** system will break. If the home owner is unable to perform basic maintenance then it is their responsibility to hire an **** company to do the maintenance for them.

    I am rejecting this response because:if one were to accept it then that would mean one of two things:

    1. *********************** manufactures the first prefect, and flawless, piece of equipment in the history of mankind, a belief denied by any intelligent person;

    2. Everyone is lying including the owner of AirTech who  discovered the first disconnected/burnt wire, and the first to declare the thermostat to be the problem., One would then have to assume that the owners of ASAP Heating in *******, **.,and AccuAir Heating and Cooling,, were also lying when they declared that thermostats were part of the problem, or the technicians that found a leak in the system requiring 22 oz. of Freon to be replaced, or another dislocated/burnt wire, or more  thermostats needed to be replaced, and leaking the valve also needed to be replaced..

    After all, the system was tested, and approved.

    But, was this individual unit tested?

    Of course not.

    .
    Sincerely,

    **********************
