I was trying to purchase a large SUV for my service animal and myself as I am currently battling uncommonly aggressive cancer and need a mobile sleeping arrangement for the course of my chemo as my funds are limited because I am unable to work due to the aggressive severe nature of my circumstances. I was sold on a SUV that lithia **** had in the service bay that had only been inspected and hence had not been touched since the previous owner traded it in that week. So no service or cleaning has been done and admittedly so by the sales people who kept in contact via text every step of the way even up to and after delivery of the dirty and beat up vehicle. I kept them aware of the vehicles condition through text and due to victimization by others who took advantage of my predicament I was robbed coldly by someone close to me and was only able to come up with $2000 of 7000 down payment. Because of this I returned the vehicle but I spent alit of money having it serviced and having it hooked up to diagnostics to remedy the check engine light and spent hundreds in maintenance and putting hard work and dedication into refurbishing the paint job. I was promised that my money would be returned to me, and was told it had to be approved. That was the 10th of this month. Then 11th was finally told in person and in front of witnesses that it was approved and that the lady's in the office went home and that the check would be ready to pick up after noon Monday the 14th. When I arrived at the agreed upon time I was told that they were keeping it and if after getting into sale ready condition there was anything remaining of the 2000 I put towards the down payment they would keep that too. I have irrefutable proof and pics and the messages between myself and lithia **** and you can clearly see that they lied and stole my money and completely and utterly disrespected me and disregarded my current circumstances as I am suffering from cancer and am actively doing chemotherapy.Business Response

We attempted to refund the $2000 deposit on the credit card used but the card was reported lost or stolen and was not in the name of the person trying to get a refund. At this point it appears to be credit card fraud and we are attempting to reach the credit card company to return the funds.Initial Complaint

I was sold a warranty for a truck and the warranty doesn't cover anything on the truck. I was told when I bought the warranty it would cover a transmission if it went out. Transmission is now out and warranty is denying the claim and said they would have never covered anything on this truck. And the ** is not wanting to cover the cost of the transmission.Business Response

*********************** was offered a full refund on the warranty she purchased as the warranty company is denying the claim to repair the transmission. I had also offered through our corporate office to repair the transmission in our shop as we can perform the repair for far less than she was quoted where she took the vehicle for repair. I will still offer the full refund of her warranty but I am not going to offer to pay for her repair anywhere but in our shop.Initial Complaint

I bought a 2003 **** F250 for ****** plus an additional 4 grand for a Driveway warranty in August 2023 from this business. My truck now does not work, needs a new turbo, IPC sensor and connector for it, track tube's and electrical wiring redone for break lights and reverse headlights and door ajar light problems. In a year we have not been able yo reach a resolution with yhe sales department or management. The only thing we ever heard back was that our salesman, ********************* was sent in for more "training" following our botched purchase but we never heard anything back about a real resolution. This truck does not work and we have had it for less than a year, and the warranty we purchased doesn't actually cover any of this even tho we were told by ***** it would. ***************************, the sales manager has never gotten back to us except in reply to our ****** review, but my calls and email did nothing to get a real response. We feel this is not good business and actually really messed my family up financially trying to deal with this truck. We are just looking to get this made right.Business Response

In March of 2022 the first vehicle I had from Lithia blew up. Lithia said they would help me and took the car and put me in another vehicle. The same weekend that I bought the vehicle I noticed that it shook really bad when I would brake going downhill. I immediately texted and let them know. I also physically went down there with the vehicle. Once they got me in, they hooked it up to the computer and told me nothing was wrong with it. I also showed them and took photos of the *** system maintenance lights coming on. I have records of all of this. A few months later the shaking got out of control and they diagnosed it as brakes and rotors but they made me pay out of pocket for them even though I purchased it that way.. Now fast forward a few months later the motor has completely blown up. They made me prove that I had my oil changes as required. Not only do I have Gap coverage, full coverage insurance and I purchased the extended warranty but now they're telling me I have to pay $2,500 out of pocket before warranty will proceed with putting a new motor in it. I have already contacted an auto fraud attorney in ****** and they have agreed to take my case with all of the text messages emails and photographs. Lithia is about to cost me my job and I need to pull my child out of school because I cannot pick her up in the middle of the day with out a car. I could not have done more to cover myself so that something like this did not happen. I purchased all of the coverage I could. I can see our entire family's lives going down the drain as soon as this costs me my job. Even a loaner car would fix this whole situation until I can get this fixed next month but they won't even loan me a vehicle. They literally trapped me into losing everything and they have no compassion over it. I just don't understand how you can do this to somebody. Even by the time this case gets settled with our lawyer we will have lost so much. Do the right thing.Loan me a vehicle or cover the new motorBusiness Response

We have been in contact with the customer through out the warranty authorization process. We have had to submit photos of different areas of the vehicle on three separate occasions. This has added delay to getting the approval from the extended warranty company. The last set of pictures that was requested were just sent in towards the end of last week. As of right now the claim is still under review by the extended warranty and we are awaiting approval. We have been truly trying to advocate for the customer in order to get this repair approved and completed with as little out of pocket to the customer as possible. We have again contacted the customer after receiving this letter from BBB and it sounds like she may want to retract her complaint at this time. We will move forward with the customers position at this time and update her with information as we receive it from her extended warranty.Customer Answer

I am buying a car from this business, the paper work and loan went thru in April, I purchased the car to go to my big sisters funeral, I told them this they said they had one car they could put me in with my financial and credit situation! I agreed if I was able to get it an make it to ******* for my sister! It was no problem but the car had to have a once over and I could pick it up the next day, I didn't get it for almost 2 weeks missed the service, because something was wrong with it, now we are at the end of October and I have no plates, the bank has no title, and I am told I can go to dmv and pay for a temp. Permite, and they will reimburse me! I can not ****** it, besides the paperwork for the car wasn't even filed till this month! Now they say my title is being held il in **********,, no body said the tilte was ca. How can they sell a car that doesn't run, said they did an oil change, they did not do! And that has no title or a title from a different state! And I'm stuck with a c*** car that I can't drive! Some one I know bought a car way after I did and she already has her plates! I've called the car lot over and over and I must say this is the worst experiance I've had buying a car! I really don't know what if anything can be done! But I definitely feel like I've been wronged,Initial Complaint

Lithia Ford of Klamath Falls, OR, put a re-built transmission in my **** F-150 back in November 2021, and it was given a two-year warranty. My transmission went out earlier this month (Sep 2022) and I took it to Lithia **** to start the process of getting it fixed. I was told they didn't have a transmission tech to work on it, and that I needed to try **** in Medford or Lakeview, **. However, they did give me an appointment date of Sep 22, to bring it in for their assessment. After a couple days of phone tag, contact was finally made with the shop in *******, but I was informed that they were behind on transmissions by three months. When I told the ******* shop my situation, I was told that my warranty should follow me to whatever certified shop I chose. I cancelled my original appointment with Lithia, and then made an appointment with My Mechanic here in Klamath Falls to try and speed up the process. They examined my truck and determined the reverse was indeed not working, but also informed me they had no experience in honoring a warranty given by another company. They also informed me that they too didn't have a transmission tech, but that they didn't need one to swap out a bad transmission with another re-built one. Their regular shop mechanics were quite capable of doing the swap. Now I have another appointment with Lithia for October 19 so they can look at my problem, which has now pushed me out by another month. I feel Lithia has sent me on a needless goose chase, and that my problem could have already been resolved had they not told me they didn't have a transmission tech.Business Response

I apologize for all the inconvenience **********************. I believe what may be going on is when we have a vehicle brought in for transmission issue we are usually required by **** to have a certified transmission technician tear down the transmission to establish the point of failure. The other part is if it is more cost effective to repair the the existing transmission than replace the whole unit they want us to repair/ rebuild the technician. Unfortunately at this time I do not have a technician with the proper certification and experience that would be able to confidently repair the transmission if **** required us too. We are trying to put technicians through proper training at this time so we can avoid this situation in the future but that will be while until we get there. I have spoke with my service advisors and what we can try to do in order to help you as soon as possible is schedule you for October 5th. We will be moving our schedule to make this work and will need the vehicle most of the day and we will try to make sure it is nothing software related as well as do an inspection of the transmission so we can try to submit and see if **** will allow us to replace the whole unit if need be. Let me know if this helps and I will make sure we get you scheduled for the 5th to try and expedite things. Again I apologize for any run around you have had and I hope we can get this remedied for you as soon as possible.Customer Answer

I bought a Truck from **** Lithia, I got the full warranty on the truck so if anything breaks on it I will be covered and they will fix it. I bought a Dodge ram **** sport 2013. When I found out the truck was having steering problems I took it in to **** to get it checked out, the lady at the services told me. "because this is a dodge you will have to take it in to dodge Lithia to get it fixed." So I took the truck in to get it fixed there. I was able to get a rental truck from them. they said the part should be in with in 10 days, 10 days pass and the part gets pushed back another 2 weeks. They try to order the part again and the same thing happened again. So I talked the Services manger at Dodge Lithia, I had their rental truck and was wondering when I'm going to get my truck back, he took the rental truck away because, I had it for to long even though my warranty was covering for the rental. 2 months of not having my truck I went to the **** Lithia to see if they can get it fixed. they told me I could get the truck over at **** but ***** was not wanting to give it up. after a week of trying to get the truck over to ****, said that the truck battery was dead, and couldn't get the truck over they were telling me the best thing is to trade in the truck because the part was to hard to get. So I trade in my truck, I owed $28,000 on my truck and got a car for $29,000, **** only gave me $19,000 and wouldn't give me anymore for the truck. 2 weeks later I saw my truck for sale. in total I lost $9,000 dollars on my truck and when I had the truck they couldn't get the part until I gave it back to them. I felt like it was a huge scam so they can get the truck back and sell it for more than they gave me.Business Response

I apologize that you had this experience. At this point the Dodge Ram is not fixed as we are still waiting on the parts. When you came in you had the choice to wait for your truck, We agreed to bring the truck to the **** shop to make the repairs here. While you were waiting we kept you in a loaner vehicle the entire time. We offered to trade you out of the truck since it had been a long wait, you chose a vehicle off the lot, were presented numbers and after thinking about overnight, you came back and purchased a less expensive vehicle after negotiating. Again, I apologize for you having a bad experience with your truck, but you made the decision to buy another vehicle. We will not be offering any returns or exchanges.

Worst customer service in the industry! Bought a truck with ****** miles on it and broke down on the first road trip. They would not return my calls or pick up when they saw my number. Sold me a bumper to bumper warranty that covered everything they failed to disclose that it didnt cover the exhaust components. They also failed to mention that the vehicle was manufactured in ****** and voided any warranties, especially the ******* mile extended warranty that would have covered the exhaust repair. The sales manager ***** was rude and the dealership is full of crooks. Wasted $38,000!Business Response

**************** contacted the dealership when he had an issue with a check engine light coming on while on a trip from Northern ********** to Northern **********. After a dealership in Southern ****** told him they wouldn't honor his **** warranty, he chose to continue his trip north and started having more issues in ******** where he took it to another shop. The shop advised him it would be two to three weeks to get his truck in for repairs as most shops are booked out several weeks. At this point he chose to continue on another 6 hours to his destination with the check engine light in his truck on. After arriving in Northern Washington, his truck went into limp mode and he could no longer drive it. After waiting for his appointment, it was determined that the issue was not a warranty covered item and our dealership paid the $4000.00 **** to help out the customer. As far as I know, the first 6-7 months and **** miles of the ownership of this vehicle **************** had no issues. We will not be offering a refund or any further assistance to ****************.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: the dealership lied about the $3000 warranty they sold me and they did not disclose that the vehicle was manufactured in ****** which voids any warranty or extended warranties offered by Ram
