Apple valley credit services sent me a debt collection letter stating that I owed them $******. I do not believe I owe this debt and when they send me the bills which showed they were paid off and they were still wanting the $******. Checked my bank account and even found the canceled check for ****** that I paid to centennial medical group, the exact company that supposedly sent me to collections. I had also paid them over $3000 previously for a different bill and did not actually look into it but now I think they might have been lying then as well. I have contacted the doctors office and the insurance, but I am afraid to confront predatory bill collectors.Business response

There are no open accounts at Valley Credit Service, Inc. We are not predatory in any way. We are a small family owned collection agency since the 1950's. We follow all State and Federal laws. We have three accounts paid in full and one account assigned in error by ************************* which manager ***************************** at CMG cancelled on 08/01/2023. There will be no further contact regarding the closed-paid or cancelled bills.Initial Complaint

I have no idea why valley services is calling me-Im not giving up any of my personal info till the snarky person on the other side of the phone gives ME some info. They keep calling my husband looking for me, they first thing they ask is is this the correct address?No. is this your social? Tell me what this is about and we can go from there. Im not allowed to do that until I verify your identity. So please call back when you can. They call my husband repeatedly at work. I show no outstanding debts to anyone other than usual credit card debt-its getting very frustrating. The # Im being given is ************ is this even the correct #?Business response

Valley Credit was given My debt From my sons doctors office ( I have already filled a complaint with them). They sent me to collections with valley credit when they never contacted me or asked me to pay **** when I was in clinic. My son was who the **** was for and he was fully covered under insurance and OHP had made a mistake on his name which took a whole month to fix mid December to January some time. This was fixed my fiance answer the door for the papers As in dec, I talked with a ****** about this telling her this is wrong and should have never been sent to them as my son was fully covered under OHP. On 1/21/22 my fiance opened the door called me letting me know about the papers. I called valley credit service and told them that NWH took care of the insurance issue and would not be needing this and the lady confirmed and *************** also did the same as they did not know i had OHP for my secondary. The lady said She would try to see If i could not pay the court fee off ***** I believe as none of this should have gone to them. I called 1/28/22 to check in on my case as I had emergency surgery 1/25/22 and was told I would be out of work for 2 weeks. The people at valley credit said no i need to pay the court fee by March 4th. I asked to push it or make a lower Payment as I am currently the only one in my house working to support three kids and that I just had emergent surgery and i Am now out of work for a couple weeks. This ****** person said no that I needed to pay they would not do a payment plan and that it is my fault as I am not responasible with my bills. Then she put me on hold and told me to calm down. This ****** lady also said she had served my Daughter the paper months ago. My daughter is three years old I dont see how that is possible. They not only said they served my daughter the address they had me under was ******************************. I have never lived at this address. They Had my phone number as I had called them ************** before/Business response

Valley Credit Service has retracted any/all legal action against you and your account is in a status of "CEASE COMMUNICATION" so that you will not be hearing from us regarding these debts again, notr are they reported to your credit. Thank you for informing us that they should not have been assigned here to us.

I was told I owe about 5,000 between a credit card bill and my medical bills but I haven’t received anything showing me that I owe that amount. I’ve contacted twice and tried calling saying I will not be moving forward with this if I’m not sent anything and instead they tried to still charge my card twice more.Business response

to file a Better Business Bureau complaint to try to communicate about the amounts you owe and your defaulted promise to pay hardly seems effective compared to picking up the phone and calling your account manager Debbie T******* at ************. I have attached proof of all bills and the breakdown is as follows:

TOTAL OWED: 4759.99
PROOF OF THE CREDIT UNION DEBTS WAS MAILED 09/24/21 TO THE CONSUMER AT HER VERIFIED ADDRESS: **** ****** *** **** * Eugene, OR 97402; the consumer indicated she knew the medical bills, so they were not sent, but they are now attached to this complaint.
The consumer made a VOLUTARY arrangement to pay 200.00 per month; payments were rejected by her bank on 11/29/21. 01/25/22 and 01/28/22, thus creating a broken promise to pay the past due accounts. We work on behalf of ****** ********* ****** ***** and ****** ********* **** **********; without a payment plan in place, the account will be referred to the manager for legal action.
Upon receiving this complaint we attempted to contact the consumer and she has still not returned our call.

I am rejecting this response because: yes I was sent the **** account information on what I owed, but I was told my medical bills and my credit debit would be put together and I would be paying all together however, I have not received anything proving that amount in total or the $200 payments I have made are in fact going to my debit. I have not once received a statement or anything showing how much I owe after my payment which I should be if I’m making payments somewhere. I’m not going to just send money I don’t know where it’s going when I have my daughters headstone to take care of. My first payment I messed up on but still made a $50 payment afterwards. And the last two payments I purposely didn’t pay because I had reached out on the website twice before coming here to complain and I had not got a response.

Valley Credit Service is harassing me in an effort to get my company to pay a fraudulent wage assignment for one of our employees. Our employee rejects the fact that he owes money to this creditor or anyone else for this alleged loan. In addition to the alleged loan repayment, Valley Services is trying to charge an outrageous finance charge on this fraudulent debt (******% annual rate). The alleged loan number is FL-Q3295D6L. Valley Services has provided no documentation proving this is a legitimate claim.Business response
