I lived at Nexus from March 2020-May 2022. Always paid my rent on time, paid an exuberant down payment as well to move in. David, their manager of the property is less than professional. I was being stalked/harassed by my downstairs neighbor. I am a stripper, and my safety and anonymity was compromised by my neighbor. In fact, he went and found my OnlyFans, then proceeded to go tell David and other office personnel my job and told them I should not be allowed to live there because of my job. He made MULTIPLE false claims, the office has the knowledge the claims were false from him, they also were well aware, due to emails that were sent, of the harassment and stalking that was being done to me and did absolutely NOTHING. David decided to send me a notice saying either I was being evicted because of the false claims or I needed to leave voluntarily. I paid to end my lease, after me leaving they sent a absolute shock of a invoice to me charging me right under 3k for “move out” costs to “fix” the apartment that I had already had done before leaving. They claimed the carpet was changed out, I have direct knowledge from a female employee that was a friend who worked there that it wasn’t true at all, one room was changed out and somehow my enormous down payment didn’t cover that? The charge for the carpet changeout was over 800$. My father is a professional drywaller he fixed any nails holes in my walls. Long story short, I was being harassed, then forced to end my lease, and the office did absolutely nothing to protect me and actually protected the man who was stalking me by making me move. My down payment covered all the expenses that needed to be “completed” after my move out. I have called multiple times and actually have spoken to David, my point of calling him was to try and solve this but I am at my wits end seeing as though yesterday 1/9/24 I saw they sent it to a collection agency that is now charging me interest every month. I am compiling a lawsuit right now.
