On 5/7/24 my new battery was completely dead. I have had this happen on many occasions from when I first bought the car in 2019 to now. During those times Gresham Subaru has had my car in just for the battery issue and never once told me it was due to the *** issue. This most recent time when I called finally a service person at Subaru said it might by the ***. He said there was a lawsuit against Subaru because the StarLink kept pinging 3G towers which cause the battery to go completely dead. They jumped my car and gave me a loaner. On 5/8/24 i received an email to approve what needed to be done to my car for repair. The biggest thing I take issue with is Subaru charging me for a new battery and installation. I explained to them my battery was already new, WHY should I have to pay THEM for a new battery when it was the *** which caused the issue. **** in service repair said my battery was corroded. I asked HOW COME, it is a newer battery. He said verbatim "the *** causes a big drain on the battery which caused it to leak, hence the corrosion." I think SUBARU should replace my battery no charge (pun) to me. I have called their customer service and the service mgr who also called in via a conference call to customer service Its been 3 wks still no result or resolve. I was given a case number. Their rep lied and said he called me and HAS NOT. When on conference call with the serv mgr from Subaru to the cust serv line the rep who took our call said she would follow up w/an email and DID NOT. I don't know what else to do. I think if Subaru has a faulty item in their vehicles which causes other things to go bad, should pay for its replacement. I would like my battery replaced by Subaru.
