In May 2023, I brought my car into jiffy lube for an oil change. They insisted I also needed and engine flush, which I agreed to. I had just purchased my car and thought it wouldnt hurt to get it in the best shape it could be, though it was running great already. Jiffy lube performed an oil change and engine flush, and when we went to pull the car out of the bay it started smoking. I was told that they were going to look at it and see what the problem was and they would let me know. I had two toddlers with me, and it was taking a while so I called and got the three of us picked up. Jiffy lube said they would call me. After about 5 hours I called jiffy lube for an update and was informed that it was towed to another town without my knowledge or consent, so that the mechanic of their choosing could look at it. After talking to their mechanic, he said a turbo was blown and there was at least 16 quarts of oil all over the underside and exhaust system. The oil samples taken were watery and separating. That a blown turbo pushed oil everywhere. After the mechanic said it was jiffy lubes fault, jiffy lube arranged a second tow truck to move it to another mechanic without my knowledge or consent. ******** one informed me and I arranged for AAA to tow my car to the dealership. Dealership mechanic looked at it and agreed with mechanic 1. The blown turbo had destroyed the exhaust system and bottom of car. Jiffy lube did not return calls or messages until a complaint was filed with corporate. Since the one phone call where my husband was told it was our fault and not jiffy lubes, we have again been ghosted by jiffy lube. We sent the information to jiffy lube manager, and jiffy lube went to dealership and talked to car techs about the car. Nothing has been done and the repairs are costing over $5,000. While jiffy lube had our car between oil change and mechanic 1, they put 2 miles on the car.
