We stayed at frontier.When we got in super late we were told because we didn't enter the dunes we wouldn't pay the 10.00 spot charge and to go in the morning and pay 10 per day and 3 dollars each day for each toy that enters the sand. We went down and expected to pay 29 like we spoke about over the phone. So imagine our surprise when we found out we got charged 125.00. So we went back to the office with my parents and a friend of ours so they could pay and explained how we were confused and we had my parents and friends with us who were getting ready to pay as well. My parents were in front of us and paid they were the spot next to us and were the same amount of truck trailer and bikes as us. They paid 29.00 which is what we were suppose to pay. So after they paid I explained how we are identical to them and why did we get charged more. They asked if the people behind me were in our group, I said yes and so they gave our friends their spot for free and said ok now u guys can figure it out and they can pay you. Well that still didn't account for 96.00 that was owed to us. I could tell the women was overwhelemed and the line was becoming large behind us so we went back to camp to make sure we understood and that maybe WE made a mistake. After double checking the fees we found out it's 12.00 a day and for any toy that goes on the dunes is 3.00 per day. Why my parents only paid 10 a day is beyond me. So we decided when we leave we will go back down and try to get 96.00 back. We continued and went riding and got stopped by a gentle man on a 4x4 who said posted speed was 5 mph and once out of the trees then you can continue at your desired speed. (We were going almost 10mph) and we have no idea how fast the quads were but we figured probably slower then the sxs in front who has a speedometer and it read 10mph. We completely respect that and made sure to slow down. The next day we got out of the trees and listened to the markers with the speed then once we got out to no more trees we sped up. (Next day) The gentleman sped up to our group yelling for us to slow down. And then asked us with his fingers to come over to him and said the open dune that we were at was 5mph. We all Looked around saw no posted markers. So we just agreed and was irritated that when he first came down on our first day why no rules were explained. Let alone they have no bathrooms and they advertise that they do. But whatever we can figure that out. Then went to dump off our garbage after our trip and the garbage is overwhelming full. We are huge riders and make at least 6-8 trips a year. Usually we stick with coos bay or winchester and the people when we go riding are amazing. So helpful and just honest good people. As we are super helpful in the riding world as well. Its a great sport and helping others is just natural when you get into riding. In otherworldly we've stayed at a lot of camp grounds and a lot of sand camping. I was floored how we got treated and I'm still out 96.00. When we tried to go to the office when leaving no one was there so we decided to call on our way home and no one answered and said mail box was full so we could try to give them another chance to make it right. Personally I'm not looking for sympathy or key board warriors im just explaining the experience we had so maybe this post can save someone else the trouble. Their spots are marked but only on some so it made it hard to actually find a spot we were suppose to be in. When we did find a spot marker it wad very overgrown so fitting was really rough. When we first booked we made sure to tell them our trailer lengths and how many vehicles and people. And the women was nice and told us what spots would work so we were surprised when we showed up. Their map online doesn't match the actual layout. Just beware. It's a bummer as we only go a few times a year and took a chance with this place because we haven't gone to Florence in 10 years. Also we just got home and looked at our bank account and they hit us with a extra fees that aren't on the receipt. I went to file a complain through BBB and this business isn't accredited. I'm beyond shock with how this campground is ran. Disgusting behavior
