Mr. *********** purchased this trailer new in October 2020 for someone else to live in.  That is 5 years ago.  It did have a 1 year manufacturers warranty and he purchased an extended warranty.  In the first year of ownership Forest River covered several complaints with the trailer, including sending their Service Manager all the way to ******** to look at issues including a propane smell that we could not locate.  The smell was caused my the park Propane tank near the trailer when they filled bottles for other tenants.  All issues at that time in March of 2021 were covered by warranty.  The next time we saw this trailer was in August 2023 to repair a inoperative front **** that the extended warranty covered.

Mr. *********** recently brought us the trailer for repairs and complaints of leaking and insisted we submit to Forest River Warranty.  We did even though it was far out of their normal warranty coverage.  The service Manager that went to his location in 2021 and had said to him that if he had any further leaks to contact him, denied the claim and stated yes he did tell him that but he didn't mean 4 years later.  Mr. *********** was informed and he paid his bill and picked up his trailer.

As far as we can tell there has not been the proper maintenance of sealing the trailer timely as directed in the Forest River manual or per our maintenance schedule thru the past 5 years.   We are not sure if he has had others do any of that be we have not.

Gibs Rv or Forest River can not be responsible for any damage done to a trailer after purchase and after the warranty has expired.  This trailer is 5 years old and isn't in the best condition.  But I do not see how that is our responsibility.

We do buy trailers but do not want to offend Mr. *********** by our offer as it would not be enough to cover his payoff.  It is not because it is a "lemon".

    Sincerely,

    **** ******

    President
