I hired Nw roofers to repair the water damge from a leaky skylight. I paid them hslf of what they asked up front to replace all the rotted osb on the roof and the ibeams that hold the roof up. They said that is what they would do and charged a lot. Instead of replacing the rotted ibeams they sister new osb boards onto the old rotted Ibeams and when I complained , they just painted it with killz mold killer. After they finished I had to have other contractors look at it. They said nw roofers made it near impossible to repair because they completely finished installing a metal roof. I added on replacing the metal roof because the cost was only double of the repair. The framer contractor I had look at it saw that it is so moldy and rotted it crumbles simply by touching it lightly with your finger on the ***** of the ibeam I messaged many times to complain, and even sent a video showing how it crumbles by touching it. Their response was that that part wasnt their job bt sould be the framers job who does the wall repair after. Theyre saying the rotted ibeams are not part of the roof or roof repairs but are the next companies job. They left all my five ladders scattered around the house, left my giant tarp open in the driveway. I did not believe they offered a fair price to finish the rotted wall and didnt like their work at all. The entire roof weight is resting now on rotted ibeams during the harshest season of the year, winter, in ******. The entire house could easily fall down because of their skimpy work. The killz mold killer did nothing and doesnt make rot go away. They refused to help in any way. They sistered rotten wood to new wood. Rot spreads to create mold and more rot, and disaster.

We have had ongoing amicable communication with ********. Unfortunately, there was confusion on the scope of the work included on our contract. The repair project was split into two parts roofing and then siding, in order to seal up the roof immediately due to a 4 year old leak. We only billed $2,000 of piece work towards dry rot repairs discovered. Any additional piece work uncovered within front wall/siding assemble would have been billed for when completed. ******** elected to use a different contractor for this work, which uncovered the additional damage in question. As of today, he has decided to hire us for the additional discovered piece work, which will be contracted separately.

******** notified us of his complaint on 01/12/24 and then proceeded to apologize and state he would be willing to remove complaint. We are a bit blindsided as we thought this was removed already. Today we were told that we are waiting on a email for confirmation of said complaint response.
