      Purchased a faulty unit. paid to have it installed. The are considering replacing the unit after multiple calls into tech line but will not pay to have it removed and reinstalled. ******** standard is to either have their techs remove and install or pay hourly rate for removal and install.

      I have a new washing machine under warramnty less than 1 year old. When it failed I called to provider and from the code displayed was *********** would need a new computer board installed, I was also told that to access and replace the part the washer needed to be turned ion its side. The service person advised me to find a local repair vendor and they (the dealer) would reimburse repairs. I did exactly as instructed contacting 3 local repair persons, selecting the least expensive, who was also the one who could respond with 2 days. The repairman came out to do an estimate, saw he had the parts needed, and immediately did the repairs. I then sent the reimbursement bill after paying the vendor, and the dealer is cutting the amount for reasns like no payment to servbice calls, no payment for taxes, etc. Copies of the email back and forth are attached.

      Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We have reviewed the details of your order and have carefully examined our warranty policy. As stated in the warranty that accompanies our appliances, we only cover the cost of actual work done on the appliance and necessary parts. Service calls, taxes, and removal of appliances from closets are not included in our coverage, as we are unable to dictate where the appliance is placed.


      At Westland Sales, we strive to assist our customers to the best of our ability while adhering to our warranty policy. We have attached a copy of the warranty for your reference. In this case we refunded the customer $50 over the $!25 we pay for the hour work completed.

      I am rejecting this response because: The exclusions in the warranty that "are not covered" are unreasonable and virtually eliminate anything other than parts and their estimate of minimal service needed. Eliminating the service call to repair their "warrantied product" is quite rediculous. It makes their warranty rather useless as to fix their defective product during that one year warranty a technician to get their and Tax, Wwhich I am unaware of any method to not paying, is essential to fixing their product. 

      Hopefully a clear warning to others may stem from my complaint so that a customer does not have to pay almost half the cost to fix a product they purchased in good faith.
