Im writing this review after one of the worst marketplace experiences of my life, and only after finally receiving a refund thanks to pressure from the ******************************* Discogs themselves. Buyers deserve to know what actually happens behind the scenes here.Despite every effort to resolve my dispute professionally, ******* provided nothing but formulaic, canned responses at every stage. I gave their support team multiple chances to make things right, hoping for genuine help. Instead, all communication felt automated and dismissive, with no accountability or real solutions. Their lack of action and refusal to address my case made it clear I was never going to receive fair treatment through normal channels.Resolution only occurred when I escalated to outside regulators; the seller finally refunded me, but only after significant pressure from legal authorities. ******* did absolutely nothing to helpeven when the facts and documentation spoke for themselves. This is a ***** failure of marketplace responsibility, especially compared to other platforms that uphold basic standards and provide actual buyer protection. The distress and time lost during this process were considerable. In all my years of collecting and buying online, ******* ranks as the absolute worst marketplace Ive dealt withunresolved disputes, and a system set up to stonewall buyers at every turn.If you value your money and peace of mind, be extremely cautious when dealing with Discogs. Document everything, escalate early, and be prepared for a long, uphill battle if anything goes wrong. Even when I articulated my entire experience, and my disappointment, as I closed my account, I was met with only canned responses to the very end, making it clear they just don't care about the consumer and only favor high-volume sellers. My warning: only regulatory agency intervention led to my refundDiscogs never did the right thing, even when given every possible chance.

Terrible company. All their support is automated responses from bots. No phone number to speak with someone either. A large percentage of users are selling physical music media which is damaged or in bad shape through Discogs with no repercussions from the company. The company does nothing to help resolve issues with scammers and dishonest sellers who rip you off. The company also has a review system which is not at all accurate. Any seller who receives a negative feedback from a buyer can have it removed by having an employee review it. The criteria for feedback removal doesnt seem to matter because sellers can have the feedback removed regardless of whatever it says.

Discogs is a safehaven for hackers, scammers, crooks, and thieves. Discogs invests NO money into customer support or preventing illegal activity. If there are problems you will NEVER hear back from them. You will get an auto reply that will refer you to Paypal and they will have washed their hands completely of any illegal activity. They are a record selling middleman that assumes NO risk but reaps all the benefits. The buyer assumes ALL the risk but has NO protections unless you have the patience to deal with filing paypal disputes which usually take a minimum of 30 days to resolve. Best bet is to completely avoid purchasing through Discogs. Discogs take 9% in fees but for what?! Best to buy outside of Discogs and save the fees, or go to **** where you will be protected and the sellers are vetted.
