I live in ******** *****. On 4 July I conducted an online search to find a service to convert a pdf to Word. I found a US company called 'PDFSmart' listed on their initial invoice as 'Softflakes **** at the US address ************************************************ who offered a 7 day service for 1.00.I signed up, used the service and never thought anything further. On 4 July I even received an emailed receipt for my 1.On 3 October, I noticed a charge of ***** on my bank statement. I searched the name of the company and found the receipt from 4 July for 1 with the same company name. I made contact with them and asked for a refund. They told me that on 4 July I had 'signed up for a service' which I clearly never wanted or needed or used!I then saw to my disgust that they had billed and charged me ***** to my bank account on 11 July, 8 August, 5 September and 3 October! On investigation they said that they auto subscribed me to the charges and services when I used their 1 service!!!!I've never heard anything as ridiculous and sly. I further checked a website called Trustpilot and see there that there are many victims like me who they will bill for as long as possible - until we seemingly 'realise' the charges and cancel their 'services' which were never used. I am shocked, surprised and disappointed that a US company is able to just take money out of bank accounts like mine without even providing emailed invoices or receipts. It's a clear tactic to scam people. In my case I have spent my whole weekend of free time trying to get to the bottom of this matter and as a result, I believe that I should be compensated my $200 charged as a refund, and $2000 for my weekend wasted on admin including multiple emails to them to even at least get the coming month 'service' refunded since I 'cancelled' on the same day that it was charged. Please help, and please avoid others being scammed like this.

Statement of Facts On September 23, 2025, I was charged ***** for Invoice No. 4wjTNytSzy, as a monthly fee for a subscription to the PDFSmart service. However: I did not knowingly authorize any recurring payments, as the automatic renewal terms were not at all clear to me on the websiteespecially when accessing from a mobile device. As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted PDFSmart support and requested a refund and immediate cancellation of the subscription. Furthermore, I emphasize that, according to the general refund practices adopted by major digital service providers, a refund is always provided within 7 days of purchase if the service has not been used. I would like to point out that I have not used the service since the charge.Despite this, the company refused the refund, claiming that automatic renewal was clearly stated in the terms and conditions, when in fact the information was difficult to see for me.Request I request the following:1. A full refund of the ***** amount, as I am returning within 7 days of purchase and have not used the service.Observations I believe that: PDFSmart's subscription and refund policies are not sufficiently visible to consumers. Refund policies should always guarantee a refund within 7 days if the service has not actually been used. It would be appropriate to verify the site and see how many similar complaints have already been received, as this practice risks being considered ************ ANNEX COMPLAINT EMAIL TO THE COMPANY

This company is scamming people with unfair T&Cs. I signed up for 1 week trial of PDF smart for 1 week and paid 1. As soon as the week was over, they deducted 49 from my bank account. I have asked them to refund me but they are refusing, stating I should have read their T&Cs. There are 100s of people being scammed daily by these people. There is no where on the account for us to remove our bank card details that we signed up with and we have no idea if they are going to deduct again from us. Please check the ********** website which will show how many people are being scammed by the same company. Please assist me in trying to get a refund or at least investigating this company for bad business practises.
