    The Date of the transaction was 8/26/2022. The amount in dispute is $545.00. I needed more time to set up my booth space. Most event coordinators give at least 7 to 9 hours. I was not informed until after I made the purchase that set up times are 2 to 4 hours long. I never would have purchased a booth space if I would have been informed that the set up times were only 2 to 4 hours long. I have emailed BMSE to help me resolve this issue and that I want a full refund. They refuse to give me a full refund even though the service I paid for was not provided. Under the Consumer Bill of Rights, Consumers have the right to be informed. I was not informed about set up times until after I made a payment. I tried working with them even though they changed the dates of the show about a month prior to the show taking place and also gave me a limited time frame to work in. I'm not happy with their service and I want the money I spent on the booth refunded in full. I could not use the booth space nor did I have enough time to set up my booth. I did my best to accommodate their needs yet they did absolutely nothing to accommodate my needs. I cancelled another show I was in that weekend so I could be in their show because they refused to refund me. I was given a "possibility" of 1 hour extra to set up only to get there and have the venue doors shut on me so I couldn't get into the venue.

    Thank you for your reply. Should you have decided to cancel your booth upon receipt of your confirmation email or at any time prior to the event, a credit would have been graciously afforded. 


    As noted in our previous reply, there were multiple points of communication in which the setup times were outlined clearly. As you note below, you were very aware of this fact before you arrived and we were very clear that it was possible you could get in an hour early. Were sorry this wasnt the case, our small team needed every minute that we had set aside but we were open and ready at 3pm, as communicated.

She continually kept stating that we were there an hour before setup time. Then they closed the venue doors on us, so we could not set up. I've Never been treated like that at an event that I paid to be in. Has **** forgotten how to take care of their vendors? The very people who help pay the bills and who make the shows what they are. 



    Since I did not receive a service that I paid for and was not properly informed as stated in the Consumer Bill of Rights, of the set up time, I want a full refund. If you choose not to refund the $545.00 I will take action to get my lodging expenses paid of around $1,000 to be in ***** for the **** as will as the $5,000 -$7,000 I didn't make because **** changed the dates of the show and I had to cancel a profitable and professional show that I was originally in that weekend.

    In an email reply on November 3, we confirmed again that the setup times are firmly 3-5pm and ****am. We stated 'You are welcome to arrive at 2 to check, but again we cannot guarantee we will be ready, thank you for understanding!  


    This clear timeline of communication indicates that you had an ample understanding of our setup procedures and timeframes; the choice not to participate was entirely yours and no credit or refund is available.

    We paid for a booth at the recent ***** Bay Show and we were not able to participate in the show because there was not enough time given to set up our booth. 

    I want a full refund for the booth space. Giving 2 hours to set up for a show professional show is unheard of.  Due to the fact that inadequate time was given for me to set up a booth that I spent almost $700 is unacceptable. 

    If you do not refund me I will contact the BBB and my lawyer to settle this bc it is dishonest business practice.

You can upload your photo (110 x 120 pixels, 72 resolution), select a lecture time, load your company logo (155 x 60 pixels, 72 resolution) and even list a discount coupon for your booth.
    You may also purchase electricity, extra tables and chairs right online from your admin panel. Here's how:
    Select "Exhibitor Booths" from the left-hand menu

    Select the items you need and add them to your cart

    The hours of the expo are  Saturday 10 am to 6 pm , Sunday 10 am to 6 pm ,  
    All exhibitors must check in no later than one hour prior to the start of the show in order to hold their reserved booth space. After that time, numbered booth spaces and associated extras such as chairs, tables and corners may be released.
    Booth set up will take place Fri 3-5pm, Sat ****am. Bring your own cart.
    Lecture rooms are very basic rooms, they do not have equipment necessary for Powerpoint presentations. You are welcome to bring your own. There is an electrical outlet.
    All sales efforts must be contained within your booth. We do NOT allow vendors to walk around and solicit customers from outside their booth. 
    Several emails will be sent in the month leading up to the show, be sure to whitelist **************** to get all the latest news.

    Give a talk at the show!

    If you have not signed up for your one free lecture time, login to your Exhibitor Admin and sign up now. Then be sure to enter in a lecture description and upload your high resolution photo (This is required). To choose your lecture time and add in your information to your profile page: 

    Log in to your admin space as described above
    Click "Exhibitor Booths" from the left-hand navigation menu
    Click "Select Lecture" next to the ***** details
    Enter your name, lecture title and description, then select from the "Available Lecture Slots" drop-down. Having trouble with your content? Select the time and then email us with your lecture title, description and headshot (any size, we'll adjust as needed).
    You will need to enter your lecture information within two weeks of your booth purhcase in order to keep your selected time. We reserve the right to move you to a different day, time and room without notice as needed.
