My children have not attended this daycare in two weeks and the owner keeps charging us like theyre going. The owner was notified that the kids would not be attending anymore and she had us sign papers and gave us the kids belongings but continues to charge us and make threats to send it to collections if we do not pay. But my children are no longer enrolled and havent been for 2 weeks she charged us $1400 on January 8th.

    Business Response

We had accepted this client's children last minute and with no prepay because it was the holidays and we were showing compassion and ***** for a Mother who just started her job.  She had claimed that she was applying for subsidy and we tried in every direction to assist her with getting the paperwork in so that she may have assistance with her childcare.  They had been here 2 weeks with no payment when their subsidy had come in and she refused to agree with the subsidy terms (not mine) and decided she wanted to be private pay for her 2 weeks and remove the children from our care abruptly because of the fees.  She signed a contract that states a 2 week's deposit and enrollment fee was due upon admission as private pay and a 2 week's notice to vacate her childcare spots was needed.  she signed all these documents and I have them here in the office and handed her copies that she signed at enrollment.  This client never signed any exit papers as she had not made any attempt to clear her account with me as promised.  She promised to pay 3 times and if she had made good with her payment I would have allowed her to pay the reduced rate (without the deposit) but she will not communicate with me and discuss an amicable payment plan.
