I am 58. This is the worst utility company I have ever been forced to deal with. My monthly bill should be no higher than $75 in a very cold month. My bill for February was $10 due to "computer error". My bill for March was $197 for reasons that no one has been able to explain. When I asked for help with the billing situation, I was told someone would come to inspect the meter. Instead, a technician came to my house and demanded to inspect my appliances. If you enjoy waiting on hold, deceptive communication, and being billed different random amounts, they're perfect for you.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

We moved from ******* back to Oklahoma and my daughter bought a house we are renting. She paid 35 dollars and had the service tech make sure all pilots were lit. When he left it went out. We had the payments for gas put in our name. We paid another 35 dollars and told the lady after checking pilots the first time the gas pilot went out she smelled gas so turned it off and we would like it checked . The lady said there would be another 25 dollar charge even though we paid 35 dollars as a new customer. We feel they put our lives in danger and cannot use our gas appliance without being held up for 25 more dollars. Isnt it the gas service suppose to keep the public safe from problems? We have been paid in our case 70 dollars total each person owner then renter to be safe. I am disgusted as I am a retired teacher and we had safety programs at our schools in ***** from gas and electric companies but you would hold people up to be safe. We will try to change all appliances eventually to a safe electric service. We started with our new electric dryer. Then we will continue to replace all gas as needed for our safety. . We will be telling all new customers of our experience with ONG . ******* and ***********************Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

My wife called on a Saturday afternoon to report that she smelled gas in our home near the hot water tank. A technician was sent to our home to investigate a possible leak. After inspecting the hot water tank, the tech told my wife the hot water heater was not up to code, and gave her a list of what was needed to fix the issue. The technician then left the house. The next morning I noticed we did not have hot water or gas to the stove. The tech shut off the gas and pulled the meter without telling my wife he was going to do so. When she called ONG, she was told that they would replace the meter when the hot water tank was brought up to code. Shutting off the gas and pulling the meter without informing the customer is unacceptable, to say the least. Is this how customers are typically treated ny ONG? The gentleman doing the repairs today, a Sunday, stated they have never seen that done before.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

The customer was advised of repairs that were needed. Due to safety concerns with the appliance, we were unable to leave the service on. The service was restored to the customer's property the next day and all safety checks passed.Review from Erica W

This account has 8 broken arrangements in the last 12 months. As a courtesy, the customer was given another payment arrangement today. If the customer is unable make her payment by 01/20/24 per the terms of the arrangement, she will need to call prior to the date the payment is due and can re-negotiate the payment arrangement. If the customer would like her account coded to indicate she is disabled, she will need to call our customer service number at ***** ******** and request that her account be coded.Review from Anna M

This company is terrible. Our gas was shut off the day before Thanksgiving, We had a zero balance, zero disconnect notices, zero bills sent, no communication in any way. Their website reflects all of this. So to turn off our gas before a big holiday where they will not be open for four days is inhumane and awful. I hope they are all ashamed of themselves. We owed nothing!Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

ONG allows customers to sign up for a locked in price for one year. Usually, this information is with the September bill. I checked my bill and only received the bill, not any bi or tri fold as usual. Toward the beginning of October i called and asked about the insert. I was told it would be with my next bill. Upon receiving my bill, the insert was the wrong one. Found out that instead of signing me up when i called to ask about it, the csr mis-directed me and made me miss the deadline to sign up. ONG told me that the insert (that wasn't there) held all the information and to try again next year. This is bad customer service and appears shady to me. Some customers were left out of the information loop due to poor quality assurance in notifying customers of their options. I am now paying 8 dollars a deca therm instead of 4 dollars a deca therm.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

The information regarding the Voluntary Fixed Price Plan program was included in the customer's September 27th statement as in insert and also at the top of the statement.Review from Caroline C

Extremely self righteous organization! I am in a finically hard way. Decided this summer to let my gas get turned off bc I couldn’t afford it. Finally qualified for state financial assistance and was immediately denied to pay my ong bill. Now it’s November 1st, I’ve called to try and get help, applied for LiHeap, all the government assistance. Nothing! Open enrollment for government assistance for gas doesn’t open til December! That’s half way through winter! Ended up getting an amazing donation from a local church (so unbelievably thankful!!). This is a Wednesday at 1:00 pm that I then call and let them know everything is paid up. They dropped the biggest bomb!!!!!! I now owe an additional $150 for a deposit and $25 for a connection fee. Plus my appointment to get heat or hot water isn’t for almost a week!!!! My house is currently 55°! And I have to take off work to be here bc the appointment parameters are 8 AM til whenever at night. They call you twice and if you can’t be here within 15 minutes you get an additional charge! All I was asking for was a little help and kindness. ONG is not a pass it forward organization. Most difficult of all the utility companies. Shame on you.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

The worst! If I could give them zero stars I would have. They have taken the money from my account and refuse to give it back to me. I no longer live at the address in question. I have request service to be shut off twice, and they are still telling me I will owe for the new apartment residents use of natural gas.Oklahoma Natural Gas Response

THE WORSE CORPORATION EVER. I moved to another location in Oklahoma city (but in reality we all need to move to another state all together.) I moved and changed my address and TRANSFERRED services to a new address. The transfer date was August 25th, 2023. Oklahoma natural Gas charged me the FULLLLLLL monthly service fee of $39.oo and that "winter recovery fee" for only 10 days of service. From August 15-25 2023. My services were transferred to my new address then a whooooole new billing cycle and account number was created. so basically i received a fulllll bill for only 10 days of service, when I as a customer choose to transfer to a new address and stick with them. Right?? Well, now I am looking at other co-ops or other places that can offer basic gas service beyond Oklahoma natural Gas. I have been a customer for over 7 years, i transferred to a new address and that bill was down right atrocious of that corporate company to charge me a full/whole month of service fees for only 10 days!!!. LET US ALLL PACK UP AND CHOOSE ANOTHER STATE TO MOVE AND LIVE IN NOW!!!
