      My husband and I have been customers for several years of Ameican Home SHield. We've paid on time and never missed a payment. Our air conditioning system was making odd sounds. We paid the $125 they required for a tech to come out. We were told by Righ Temp the motor was going bad. The tech came back two days later and replaced the motor. Two days after that, the unit stopped working altogether. Right Temp came back out and told us we needed a compressor. Right Temp was assigned to come out to replace the compressor of the air conditioning unit.. We were told they would replace the compressor, but we had to pay $1,600 for the refrigerant. We felt that was unfair, but we had no choice, so we went ahead with scheduling the service. That was five days ago, and we are still waiting. They told us they would be here today, Monday, June 30th, at 2 AM. Who schedules work at 2 AM? When they didn't show or at least call to say they were backed up, we asked for a different company to come out. We were told by ******************** we'd have to pay an additional $ ****** to have the job assigned to another company. We are both 70 years old. We've been paying to stay in hotels due to the extreme heat. When we try to call American Home Shield, we are on hold for hours. When we've tried to call Right Temp which is the company assigned to do the work, we still get no answer. We are extremely disappointed at this point and are still at the mercy of a company that we believed would provide peace of mind in the event of a breakdown of home appliances, etc. At this point, we don't even know where to go for help with this problem. In the meantime, we are tryng to survive the heat. Right Temp has failed us along with ********************, the company that contracted with Right Temp to do the work.
