I signed a Tristate Concrete and Construction contract, with ****** *********, in the last week of June 2024 at my home. At that time he wanted $1800.00, which I gave him in cash. Then when he and a crew showed up the week of July 8th, 2024. ****** ********* said he needed $7,200.00. Which I provided in the form of a Cashiers Check from my credit union. They worked 2 days, never finished and never came back. After 2 days of calling ****** *********, he does not answer his phone anymore. I went to the address for Tristate Concrete and Construction listed on the contract.******************************************. Empty derelict buildings, no sign Tristate was ever there. I brought up Tristate in the computer and it showed a different address of *******************************************************. I knocked on the door several times, No answer even though there were vehicles in the driveway.I would like my $9,000.00 returned.

I paid Travis R******** (Owner of Tristate Construction) $5,233.36 for windows on April 6, 2022 that were to be delivered and installed on our home. Travis sent a text that he had health problems, we left him alone for a couple weeks to let him heal. Around July 1st I attempted to reach out to schedule my install with no response, I also emailed Travis with no response. I googled Travis and noticed that he had changed his business number. I called the new number mid-July, and he answered stating that he had the windows and that he would call the next day to schedule the install. 4 days passed and no call. I have called multiple times with no answer and have left messages with no returned call. At this time all I want is my money back. After looking at reviews on the BBB website i can see that this is a trend of Travis.

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/18) */
Most everything ***** said was true. However I do not deal with ***** when windows were purchased. Window manufacturers at that time were running about 4 months out due to material shortages. I was upfront with Tanya that I was having my right shoulder rebuilt. Due to rotator cuff bicep tear and muscle that had pulled away from my shoulder. Along with bone spurs. 4 weeks after surgery I fell a damaged the same shoulder that had been redone. At that time they could not do anything about it. No mri because it would have just looked like raw meat. They have a new MRI scheduled for September 6th at saint Francis. Once it's healed I will install windows. There will be no refund. But your windows will be installed when I make a full recovery. Have all the medical records and images to back that up. If that's not an acceptable response. All I can say is we can go to court and I will produce my injuries and the delays to the court. Thank you and God bless.

    Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First, I have attempted to conversate through phone with ****** with no answer and no call back, but yet ****** can respond to BBB emails? ****** has not scheduled or communicated any options or dates and times with myself or my wife. With the lack of communication and trust i do not believe that ****** has even ordered any windows and that if he did it will no be the quality ones we were promised. We have been kind and generous with ****** and allowed time for medical issues, which is why we are now frustrated with the lack of communication. We were told that we would have it installed the week after June 28, 2022 via text message from ******. He told us that he had stomach cancer, again via text, not a tear.

If ****** has the windows or not he should be able to return them for a full refund and provide us with a check for the full amount.

    Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/29) */
You can let Mr. ****** know that Tristate Concrete is not doing any business at this time. Nor have we since my operation a few months ago. He claims he's calling the business phone. There is no one there to answer it. I'm going to stand by my initial response. And you don't return custom size windows. Since my operation I'm currently homeless. My son and I are living out of my truck and receiving food stamps until I fully recover. You can find us most nights in the parking lot of saint Francis hospital outside of the emergency room sleeping. I will install their windows when im healed up. Doesn't matter if he doesn't accept my response. But that is and what will happen. And Mr. ****** I do not work for the BBB. Tristate is temporarily closed. We will be in touch!!
