We had our vehicle repaired at this location on 10/27/2022, and they forgot to s**** something in, and when we left there, we leaked transmission fluid all the way home. By the time we arrived home, our transmission was completely locked up. Aamco paid to have the vehicle towed back to their shop on 10/29/2022. They finally got back to us on Monday, October 31st, and told us we need a new transmission, and they want us to pay for it! We had this transmission replaced in April, and it was NOT slipping before they worked on our vehicle. We have spoken to *******, who is the ** at that location. He has given us the regional manager's email address because he refused to give us his phone number. When we emailed him, he stated that this issue was pre-existing, and he stood behind his master mechanic. We are so disappointed in how things are being worked out. We went to have a wiring issue resolved, and now we need a new transmission.

The vehicle was brought to AAMCO for the check engine light and blowing fuses. The vehicle was placed on a lift and the transmission pan was removed. This is where the brain of the transmission rests. While removing the pan it was discovered that the wiring

harness was pinched which caused a short. This was done during installation of the pan when the transmission was reassembled where ever it came from.

AAMCO replaced the wire harness, reset the codes, test drove the vehicle, and check for leaks.  This vehicle was working without issue or leaks when it left our center.

The short in the transmission pan to the brain of the transmission caused the transmission to be in "High" pressure 100% of the time. This transmission should "Never" be in high pressure.

When at 100% pressure 100% of the time, this caused the engineering parts (clutches, seals, bearings, bushings, gaskets, fluid, etc...) that are made to wear, to wear very quickly and cause failure prematurely.

The vehicle was towed to AAMCO. The vehicles transmission fluid was checked and it was full.

We believe that the transmission over heated and caused some fluid to blow out of the dip stick. Without being there we do not know.

We are sincerely sorry for your challenge, however, the transmission failure is not from AAMCO's work.

Drove my car to this Aamco location on 4/18/22 for diagnostics, and was given a transmission code, ac compressor, and timing chain as issues. I could not afford all repairs at once and Aamco recommended that the timing chain was the most important, I agreed and gave $2000 as a deposit on 4/20/22 to start the work on a timing chain/gears removal and replacement (timing chain kit). On 4/26/22 I received a call from Aamco recommending a new motor due to cam lobes having flat spots. I couldn't afford it and said to continue with the timing chain if that was a possibility, so they did. On 5/2/22, after replacing the timing chain and the gears, Aamco called and told me that the whole left side of the motor now has zero compression and I now have no option but to put in a whole new motor. A few mechanics explained to me that Aamco had to have started the vehicle out of time which bent the valves and ruined the heads/motor. I paid the rest of the bill and had my car towed home. I reached out to the ** of Aamco about what happened because I felt that Aamco ruined my car. The ** eventually agreed to replace the motor. The first used motor was warranted out because Aamco didn't like how it sounded when it was running. The second used motor seemed fine. I got the car back on 6/15/22 and took it back for their recommended ***** day check/oil change on 6/29/22. Drove it until it broke down on 7/12/22 due to the motor. Upon checking the engine bay, the coolant hose clamp was tightened down too tight and was not correctly installed causing a rip in the coolant hose (pic attached). There was no coolant in the car after the breakdown. The car has been at a different Aamco location since July for another used motor replacement and was just picked up on 10/13/22. The car no longer has the new timing kit I paid over $3000+ for. $1829 of that $3000+ was for the labor that ruined the motor. I asked the ** for a refund and was told that was not an option, that's why there was a warranty.

This vehicle was repaired under the AAMCO warranty and no refund is due to the customer, however, we are willing to provide the customer with $250 of store credit at our Midwest City location for the length of time it took AAMCO to find and replace the engine.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may of caused.

      Blessings,

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I refuse to take any of my vehicles to the *** Aamco shop again, store credit or not. My car was previously there twice, and both times it either didn't run anymore or it broke down after driving less than 30 days. The photos I submitted were from the second time *** did work on my vehicle to fix the first s**** up, and they RIPPED the coolant hose in the middle of the summer, which I fully believe was the reason the replacement motor blew the second time. My entire complaint was not about how long it took to do the work, although 6 months is beyond ridiculous. It was all about the poor and unprofessional work that was done on my car. The *** shop let me drive the vehicle away with a ripped coolant hose TWICE. Absolutely shameful.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:there was no response. I will be posting on every website available for public reviews about my situation and how *** Aamco handled it. I appreciate everything the ****** Aamco shop did to get my car fixed correctly even replacing the parts the *** shop damaged. $3100 and 6 months later, my car does run, but no longer has the brand new part I paid for. I wonder how long the timing chain on a used motor will last before I have to come up with another $3000 to replace it.
