On April 17 I checked into the hotel wit my service dog I choose this hotel. Because it said it was pet friendly and wanted others around us to be comfortable around our service dog, on the morning of the ********************************************************************************* the room because he did not want guest to be scared of his size as he his a bully breed, because he was away from my husband he was nervous and began to bark, the manager then calls me and ask me what kind of dog he is, I told her he is a service dog, she refused to believe me because he barked, I explained he is not use to being away from my husband as he is for his service, she again refused to believe me, then she asked for his papers, i showed them to her, she then proceeded to ask me why we needed a service dog and what condition we have, knowing that according to the *** it is against the law to ask, I then proceeded to explain, she again denied and did not believe me, she then asked me for proof in which I had my attorney email me papers of my husbands condition even though it is unlawful, I showed them to her, she then said we can stay but that she would have to charge ** a pet fee, which is against the law. She ruined our vacation and sent my husband into depression, his mood went down and lost his excitement for the vacation and spent the rest of the days as we toured, sad and depressed as he does not like having to explain his disability and being looked at as less of a man, he felt inferior and like his disabilities were now the center of attention and he became more aware and conscious of his condition and how if affected our vacation which spoiled our events, our anniversary and our distraction from having a best friend of 25 years die recently. Attached you will find his papers, the receipt and the dog papers, my husband doctor suggests we get a lawyer as this is unlawful.
