    My complaint revolves around the derecho winds that devasted many trees, homes, roofs, fences, etc. in *****, ******** on Saturday night, June 17th. My residence and my sister-in-law's residence sustained thousands of dollars worth of tree damage, the total loss of 75' of 8' privacy fence and other damage as a result of 5 days without electric power.My sister-in-law and I contracted with ********* Tree Service to perform the necessary removal of trees so that power could safely be restored. The total amount that we paid to ********* Tree Service was $7,250....that we promptly paid to the owner, David ******* IMMEDIATELY following completion of the work on or about June *****. In return for the checks that we gave to him, we asked that 2 invoices, one for each property, be emailed to me so that we could provide documentation to our insurance carriers since we each filed a claim. ******* promised that we would receive these invoices. After 6 weeks and MULTIPLE CALLS to *******, we have still not received this documentation. ******* has personally spoken to us several times. He quit taking our calls and has not responded to at least 5-6 voicemail messages that were left on his phone. I have also emailed his "place of business" as well as texted his personal "business/personal" mobile phone.......I have received no response.********* Tree Service; David *******; ************; ***************************************************************** My dispute is very simple....I would like ******* to do what he said he would do and provide invoices for work performed so that they could serve as documentation to our insurance carriers. In large part, I would also like to expose the type of "businessman" that he is so that others do not fall prey to his opportunistic approach to business. He knew we were in a bind (due to the tree devastation in the area) and knowingly did whatever he had to do to get a check from us......$7,250 worth. It's just not morally or ethically right to leave us in a jam!

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I'm just sorry that it took almost 12 weeks and an unfavorable review to BBB for ******* Tree Service to react to my simple request.  I would never recommend this company to anyone in the future.

    Last year as a result of an ice storm we engaged ***************** to do extensive tree trimming and clean-up. In addition to the trimming, his firm removed a tree and planted a new maple tree. This complaint is in regard to that tree. We were charged $400 for the tree and planting. Throughout that fall I advised him that I thought the tree was not surviving. He reassured me more than once and said he thought it would be fine, to wait for the spring. Come that spring, it was obvious the tree was dead. ***************** at the point became quite difficult to reach. My spouse and I both tried multiple times by text and phone. Towards the end of summer he finally called and said he wouldnt be able to replace it until November. He has stopped responding to us. We want that tree removed and replaced, or a refund of the $400 and will do it ourselves.
