    Since August 4th, I've attempted to work with Romex to cancel my contract with them and waive the cancellation fee, as I was not satisfied with the service they provided and found their contract to be unclear. I also requested to be communicated with via email because I work in a school during the day and have limited time for phone calls. They refused to discuss anything with me via email and required a phone call. I told them I wasn't happy with the service provided, as it wasn't very clear to me why flea treatment wasn't covered under my monthly payment, but mice were. They were in the same line of the contract. I was told that if it's inside, then it's an extra charge. However, that isn't listed on the contract. I had two mouse boxes that had been placed inside my house for mice, and I was never charged for them. However, when asked about an inside flea treatment, I was informed that it would incur an additional charge. Their extra charges are not clearly stated in the contract because it doesn't specify that these services incur additional costs under certain circumstances. I was also informed that it was not a valid reason for them to waive the contract fee, so I would still be charged the cancellation amount of $250. At one point, when I went to pay the fee and review the invoice, they froze my online account, which seemed to be a tactic to get me to make a phone call that I had stated I didn't have time for. They also called me several times over the past week during my work hours to try to discuss this over the phone. After not answering their phone calls, they eventually unfroze my account, but I was sincerely unhappy with how I was treated, not only by the company's service but also by their customer service. I did end up making the phone call, but I was still told that I didn't have a valid reason for cancelling, so I would be expected to pay the cancellation fee.
