I had a very troubling and unprofessional experience consigning with this store. I entrusted the owner with a couple of high-end items, including a pair of nearly-new designer shoes in pristine condition. Without my knowledge or consent, the owner loaned out these shoes to an influencer — for a personal event completely unrelated to the store.
I only discovered this when I stopped by unannounced to retrieve my items — and was told the shoes weren’t even at the store. In fact, they had been with the influencer for approximately two weeks. The owner told me to come back the next day to pick up my shoes. Coincidentally, the influencer happened to be in the store when I picked them up, and when I asked about the shoes, she claimed they had “just been popped on for a quick photo and immediately taken off.” That was not true. I later found multiple images and videos posted publicly from other influencer’s social media pages as well as this influencer’s showing the shoes being worn at different times and locations.
When I finally got the shoes back, they were significantly damaged. I have clear, time-stamped images of their condition prior to consignment — and the difference was undeniable. The soles were visibly worn, and there was even a chunk of concrete embedded in the leather sole. This kind of damage is not consistent with light or careful wear — it’s clear the shoes were used extensively during the time they were out of my possession without my permission.
To make matters worse, when I brought all of this to the owner’s attention, she was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. She offered no apology, no accountability, and, disturbingly, appeared to be intoxicated during our interaction.
This store does not operate as a legitimate, professional consignment business. It feels more like a personal lending closet for the owner and her friends.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/17/2025

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint and clarify several inaccuracies.
Summary of Events: The customer consigned several items with our store, including a pair of designer shoes. She alleges that these shoes were loaned out without her consent for personal use by an influencer. This is not accurate. The shoes were briefly featured in a promotional shoot intended to highlight consigned inventory — a standard practice in resale marketing. At no point were they loaned out for personal use or worn extensively.
Condition of Items: The customer claims the shoes were returned damaged, citing visible wear and embedded debris. Upon inspection, we did not observe damage beyond what is typical for brief display use. The time stamped images Ms. ******* is referencing relates to influencer's content posting. I have attached images of her shoes when brought into the store.
Interaction with Staff: The customer described our staff as rude and unprofessional, and alleged intoxication. We take this allegation seriously and categorically deny any inappropriate behavior. Our team strives to maintain respectful and professional communication at all times.
Business Practices: We strongly reject the characterization of our store as illegitimate or unethical. We have operated for years with integrity, transparency, and care for our consignors and customers. Mrs. ******* and her husband became so belligerent in the store, refusing to leave, we had to call the police to have them removed.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/22/2025

    To Whom It May Concern,
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the additional remarks submitted by Ms. *******.

We take all customer concerns seriously and strive to maintain a respectful and professional environment at The Re-Find Designer. However, we must clarify the following:

-The shoes referenced in this complaint were temporarily loaned to an influencer as part of a coordinated marketing collaboration with The Re-Find Designer. The influencer was   officially sponsored and outfitted by our store for a themed promotional event held in Dallas, Texas. This was not a personal or unrelated engagement, but a strategic brand initiative to   highlight our inventory and expand visibility.
-The photographs Ms. ******* submitted depict the influencer modeling items from our store at that event. These images support the nature of the collaboration and reinforce that     the items were used in a professional context directly tied to The Re-Find Designer.
-Ms. ******* retrieved her shoes in full on the day she returned to the store.
-Due to the nature of her conduct during her visit, and in the interest of maintaining a safe and professional environment for staff and customers, we requested assistance from the   Oklahoma City Police Department. Ms. ******* was removed from the premises without incident.
-We categorically deny any allegations of belligerence or misconduct. Any video or audio recordings submitted by the complainant lack context and do not reflect the full scope of the   interaction.

At this time, we consider the matter closed. No further resolution is being offered, as the merchandise was returned and the situation was addressed appropriately.

    Sincerely,
    ******* *****

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The shoes were returned that’s not the complaint, it is that they were returned damaged and loaned out without my permission and it proves that the influencer lied when she said they were popped on for a quick photo. The shoes were worn to this event where they were worn around for the entire day and damaged. Ms. ***** also did not return my original receipt and my authenticity card from when I bought the shoes which devalues the shoes. The influncer changed her Instagram hashtags when I found out she borrowed the shoes and did not buy them; the first picture shows that the re-find designer store was not hashtagged for her outfit haul for the event in Dallas when I first discovered the video on Instagram, it was quickly changed after we had our discussion at the store. I was never removed from the store by the police. I waited outside on the sidewalk for about 10 minutes before the police arrived after telling Ms. ***** to call them. I waited out there so I could make a report on Ms. ***** because she loaned my shoes out without my permission and they came back to me damaged. This is not only embezzlement but it’s also destruction of property and she never had permission from me to loan my shoes out. Her contract clearly says the shoes still belong to me as long as they are in her possession. I entrusted her with these shoes and she loaned them out to her friend who is also an influencer for an event that was absolutely not related to anything that has to do with her store. This influencer had my shoes for nearly two weeks so they were not even available to be sold in her store. Dallas Texas is 3 hours and 23 minutes from Edmond Oklahoma and the ‘Static Nail Summer Soirée’ event can be found on numerous social media sites. The only products that were promoted was Static Nails, Glow Recipe and Tower 28 Beauty. I have attached photos of Ms. *****’ hateful response to my Google review for her store so you can see this is how she treated me in person as well. Note the fact she says my shoes were a 2/5 but her whole story is saying she used my shoes to market her store. I would think she would want something better than a 2 if she’s trying to market her store. She never thought I would come back to get my shoes. She thought she would sell them before I ever knew anything different and she merely got caught loaning my personal property out and is trying to cover her tracks. I

    Sincerely,
