Set up a deal for master tech to pick my vehicle up and work with insurance to get my transmission issue resolved by seeing if accident related. Once they picked my vehicle up master tech (******) never called to confirm what was taking place or the fees that would be charged if insurance did not cover it. They went and pulled transmission without approval from me owner or approval from insurance and now expect me to pay over $600 to pick my vehicle up. They also while on the phone said we assumed your uncle was going to come in behind you and pay for it and that’s not right. As a business you should have complete contact with customer before doing something that costs money. I never got a call from them and insurance had one phone call from them saying they couldn’t confirm or deny it was accident related so they had already diagnosed issue without getting any approval from customer or insurance and now owner just wants to say yeah well I don’t know. He was given chance to make right and all he says is I don’t know. And this makes the second review about them doing this to someone.

The customer brought in their vehicle at the suggestion of her uncle who we have done business with in the past. We told her that we would give her her uncles pricing since he is an auto dealer that we deal with often. The customer also let us know that we needed to file with her insurance and she felt that it was due to an accident. Our service advisor let the customer know that if the insurance determined that the claim was not valid, there would be a charge of around $600ish due to having to pull the transmission out of the vehicle and she agreed. The insurance advised us that we needed to inspect the transmission to determine if it was related to the issue the customer was claiming. At this point the only way to inspect the transmission was to remove it from the vehicle and tear it down. Both parties were aware of this and that there would be a charge for this either way because it is at least 5 hours of labor on our part, on top of the tow. Once the transmission was removed from the vehicle it was determined that the transmission failure was due to normal wear and tear and the insurance company did not approve the claim. At this point the customer was notified and told what the bill was if she chose not to have her transmission rebuilt. When the customer called and spoke with the owner he told her that he did not have all the information about the vehicle and would need to speak to our Service Advisor who is the one who deals with all the billing and customer estimates and is the person who she had been dealing with the whole time. He spoke with the customer again and advised her that she had been given this information about the billing prior to us working on the vehicle and she was not happy with that. Eventually after she filed this complaint  we determined that it would be in our best interests to just let the vehicle go for what the tow cost which was $105 and she picked up the vehicle.
