Purchased 2017 *** ******** in November 2023, have had problems with the front end, and especially the steering column shaking extremely bad at 65 mph, and when I brake it gets worse. Took it to the dealership numerous times, November, December, with no communication from *************************, technician. He stated in December, he couldn't get the car to replicate what I said it was doing, I finally started recording it. I forwarded the video to Patriot, and they "fixed" the problem, but it's not. Took it to Same Day Auto Repair in ********, found out Patriot had "refinished the rotors" instead of replacing them. Patriot also claimed in could be the tires, purchased 4 new tires, had them aligned, it still shaking. Took it to Patriot in *****, they couldn't figure it out either, took it to ******************, they couldn't figure it out. It appears it is the drive shaft, and now we have to get that looked into because Patriot can't be out any more $$ on this car, however, we purchased a $3,000.00 contract warranty. Not sure what steps we need to take next on this, it's unsafe to drive the car at times. Numerous people including Auto Zone and Mid-Town *** states its dangerous to drive, but it's my only form of transportation. The contract we signed also states getting an arbitrator, not sure how to handle this, please advise.Initial Complaint

I put $10,000 down on a 2021 Yukon Denali on Patriot GMC Chevrolet, they told me that nothing wrong with it, all they had to do is put new struts on it, something else was wrong they took it to a body's hop, that took it a month, now they say they going to the auction and buy me the same type of vehicle, after I already finds through *********** I try to cancel my contract right now since I never even got my vehicle , and they told me they can't do that because they already got paid. I called the manager, call the owner, nobody's return my phone calls and getting the runaround.Business Response

I purchased the above mentioned 2018 **** Taurus SHO from The patriot Chevrolet dealership in ************, ** on 12/29/2023. At time of purchase I was told about the patriot auto pledge of lifetime powertrain warranty and also sold a vehicle service contract for the vehicle. I asked specifically if the vehcile would be covered as it currently was as there were obvious modifications to the car. I was assured by the finance manager ************************* that everything would be covered. On February 19, 2024 I was driving home and the check engine light came on, I drove it home and parked it and then went to work for 2 weeks out of town, when I returned home I took the vehicle to the *************** dealer for diagnosic at which time they informed me that the vehicle would need a new engine. I gave them the warranty info and when they called they were informed that the warranty would not be covered as the vehicle had been modified. I called the dearlerhsip and spoke with ************************* and he said he would look into it and get back to me. He did the next day via email saying that they should not have sold me the warranty and that they would refund the warranty cost, I replied that I felt that was an unacceptable solution and asked for contact info to speak with someone of higher authority and I have yet to receive any response or follow up from my emails or phone calls I also asked about the lifetime warranty that they claim all over their ads and website but again no response from them.Business Response

January 11th I had a car delivered to me in Salina from the car dealership. I was told the ** worked, and it doesn't. I purchased a warranty through the dealership since I was told it had over 140k miles on it, I still have not received any paperwork on the warranty, so I reached out and asked, and was emailed the paperwork, but the warranty stated incorrect miles, by 10k less miles than what the car has on it. This would negate the warranty sooner, as it is supposed to cover for 24k miles. I also was told by the dealership it was a 2014. The vin shows 2013. The paperwork all states 2015. I was told they were going to fix the scratches on the vehicle before sending it, which were not fixed.Business Response

*** customer called in and was inquiring about purchasing a vehicle from one of our other locations. *** first car they inquired about had approximately ******* miles on it and was a 2013. We contacted our sister store about the vehicle and they informed us that it had major engine problems with the vehicle.
So we discussed finding them a similar a vehicle, which they agreed too. Once we found the vehicle and discussed it with our customer, they then agreed to purchase that vehicle. *** vehicle found was newer, it is a 2015 with lower miles. *** vehicle had ******* miles when purchased. This vehicle was also from one of our sister stores, they traded for it a few days prior to us looking for a vehicle for our customer. We contacted the store to check condition and availability of the vehicle. *** car was in service at time of contact with them, going through Patriot's Used Vehicle Inspection process, which is when we check the vehicles for problems (safety and mechanical) and note them to be repaired. *** vehicle needed front brakes and alignment, which we repaired at that time. We also performed the routine scheduled maintenance and detailed the vehicle. ***re wasn't any note of a/c not working. During our inspection process we check the entire vehicle over, lights, switches, heater, air conditioner, every safety component, we make sure everything works as it should before it goes to a customer. If there are scratches present on the vehicle, Patriot will repair them at no cost to the customer. *** milage seems correct as to the one purchased, this possibly may not have been communicated clearly by salesperson, due to looking to purchase the 2013 with higher miles when this transaction started. If the miles on the odometer do not match the paper work, we can do an affidavit of error and correct the mileage, in that case the mileage on the service contract can be fixed as well. Patriot will happily repair scratches on customers vehicle and with mileage verification, may need to correct mileage on paper work by providing an affidavit of error. Patriot is willing to help customer with their concerns and will do what we can to make this right with our customer.

In November, 2023, my wife and I purchased two vehicles from Patriot GMC and traded in two of our own. Our two trade-ins were in excellent condition, very clean, low mileage, and we provided two keys for each of them. This was an online transaction so the purchased vehicles were delivered to us and they took the trade-ins at delivery. During delivery, I performed a vehicle inspection on both vehicles and found several cosmetic issues and damages seemingly from a wreck that was not disclosed. The **** *****, in order to close the deal, assured me he would pay for the repairs if I took it in to another GMC dealer near me and he would also provide a second key for one of the vehicles since we provided two keys each. I took the vehicle in for repairs that very week and paid for them on the spot, around $3200.00. I sent *****, the *** the invoice for the repairs and inquired about the second key. He has not replied to this date and I have tried calling the dealership probably 20 or more times over the course of 60 days with no call back. Every time I call they tell me ***** is with a customer and he never calls back. I have also asked other managers to look into the situation and I get the same result every time. I have now sent 7 follow up emails with no reply.I simply want the dealership to follow through with their promises to pay for the repairs to the vehicle I purchased and provide the second key that was promised. Ghosting a customer and refusing to uphold a business transaction is incredibly unprofessional. I paid over $3,000 in repairs right before Christmas expecting this dealership to keep their word and reimburse me like they said they would. I am extremely dissatisfied with they way Patriot GMC has done business.Customer Answer

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Patriot Auto Group in ***** regarding the purchase I recently had an extremely distressing experience with a dealership that I feel compelled to share with the community. I purchased an AMG from this dealership, with the expectation that they would ensure the car's safety by replacing faulty brakes and worn-out tires. However, the reality turned out to be far from what I had hoped for.Tragically, I was involved in a collision due to the car's inability to stop properly. It became evident that the promised repairs were not carried out, making it impossible for me to trust the dealership's claims of providing a safe vehicle.Regrettably, my attempts to address these issues with the dealership have only led to further disappointment. Every time I have reached out to them, seeking assistance or clarification, I have been met with outright rudeness and disrespect. They have repeatedly hung up on me, demonstrating a complete lack of concern for the consequences of their negligence. It is alarming to think that a dealership, which should be held to the highest standards of customer service and vehicle safety, could so callously disregard state laws governing the sale of cars with fully functional brakes. If they fail to meet such basic requirements, it raises serious questions about their competence and integrity. The consequences of their negligence could have been catastrophic. Had my family been in the car, particularly my 85-year-old grandmother whom I care for full-time, the outcome could have been catastrophic. The potential for a stroke or other serious health complications due to a preventable accident is something no one should have to bear.I implore anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to think twice and carefully evaluate their options. The safety of you and your loved ones should always be paramount, and it is clear that this dealership does not prioritize customer well-being.In my opinion, given their blatant disregard for state laws and the safety of their customers, it would be appropriate for authorities to investigate and potentially shut down this dealership. Their actions are a disservice to the community and show a complete lack of responsibility and accountability.Business Response

***************** WAS SOLD A 2018 ******** BENZ GLC 43 ON SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2023. ***************** AND HIS NEPHEW MADE MULTIPLE TRIPS TO THE DEALERSHIP PRIOR TO TAKING DELIVERY, AND BOTH WERE WELL AWARE OF THE MILES AND PRICE OF THE VEHICLE. I PERSONALLY DISCUSSED TERMS WITH ***************** AND HIS NEPHEW ********************* REGARDING THIS VEHICLE, AS HIS NEPHEW STATED HE HAD SPENT TIME AS A SALES PERSON PREVIOUSLY, AND WANTED TO DEAL WITH MANAGEMENT.
***************** ALSO PURCHASED AN EXTENDED SERVICE AGREEMENT ON THE VEHICLE THROUGH MOPAR THAT COVERED ANY POWERTRAIN ISSUES THAT *** ARISE.
PRIOR TO THE VEHICLE BEING PURCHASED, IT HAD BEEN THROUGH OUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR A FULL INSPECTION AND RECONDITIONING PROCESS. AS PART OF THIS RECONDITIONING PROCESS, THE ***** BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED (SEE ATTACHED REPAIR ORDER).
TIRES NOR BRAKES WERE EVER PROMISED TO *****************. AT ONE POINT IN TIME HE DID LET US KNOW THAT HE HAD A NAIL IN HIS TIRE, BUT HIS "WE OWE" CLEARLY STATES NOTHING PROMISED OR OWED.
WE WERE NOT DECEPTIVE IN ANY WAY TOWARDS *****************, IN FACT WE WERE VERY TRANSPARENT THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS. I WENT OVER NUMBERS EACH STEP OF THE WAY TO MAKE SURE HE WAS COMPLETELY SATISFIED. TEHRE WERE NO ISSUES THE *** HE SIGNED PAPERS, OR ANY OF THE ***** HE VISITED PREVIOUS TO THAT.Initial Complaint

Hey, I got a **** explore on November 20. Didn't take it home that night because I had an oil leak and sales man at patriot said they were going to fix it so they did a paper stating they were going to fix it. Went to pick up the car December 1st evening, and when you get up, we know it is that the sunroof was hanging down and we told the salesman about it and he said we could take it to a **** near ** and build them the cost of it. drove it back to *********, ******** and on our way back there was a rattling noise in the engine so we back Saturday, December 2 in the morning and told him about it. So the salesman drove it and he said oh yeah, I hear the noise so they kept it there and they called us on December 8 and told us that the car was ready to be picked up but they could not fix the sunroof that we could take it in to **** and pay for it and they would reimburse us the money. Then they texted us and said we could take it into **** and they would get us a dealership discount but they couldn't pay for it, then they said they would pay for it and so on so we went up there on Wednesday, December 13 and talk to them and show them the messages where they said they were going to pay for it so they said they would pay for it they will take it to **** how to fix it well it's December 19, and we have not had the car theirs issue after issue. We asked him if they could cancel the contract. They said they couldn't they didn't want to so now I'm afraid to pick up the car and have mechanical problems in the future because of all the problems that have been coming up.Business Response

We purchased a vehicle in November 2021 with severe structure damage that was not disclosed while purchasing the vehicle. When we went to another dealership to trade in march 2022 that is when we found out we were sold a car with prior structural damage. We contacted patriot auto group who said that if we come in they will do what they can help us out. After driving two hours from our home with 3 toddlers, we get there only for them to waste our time for hours and attempt to lowball us on trading in our vehicle instead of giving us what we paid for. All we asked was for them to give us what we had originally paid for the vehicle towards another vehicle we were going to purchase from them and they wouldn’t even do that. I’m not surprised to see others be sold cars with undisclosed damage.
