1 starSigning up for a LegalShield membership ended up creating more work for me than helping me. I was connected with huge law firm, and my first ****** did not review my case documents, which I had submitted several days before my scheduled call time, until the morning of. She tried to call me once, I missed it, and she did not leave a message. She never tried again. Only when I contacted LegalShield's customer service for assistance and left negative feedback did she write an unhelpful one-sentence reply in the online message system. I requested a ****** reassignment. The new ****** seemed more competent, but rushed through our phone call, did not provide legal advice, and jumped immediately to writing a letter on my behalf. The first draft had several errors and required my edits before it was appropriate to send. The case was closed online as soon as the letter was sent, so any follow-up questions I had required a phone call and callback via the law firm's convoluted system. When the company did not respond to the first letter, I was told my only option (that wouldn't cost thousands of dollars) was them sending another letter on my behalf. For my second case, I requested to work with the same ******. Instead, I got assigned to the first one from my first case! lol Getting the second case reassigned to the same ****** required multiple phone calls with multiple people. Once I got him again, all he recommended was, guess what, another letter on my behalf. Once that letter was sent, I was done. Two months of phone tag and following up on other people's work when I have my own full-time job, thank you. I paid $60 for 3 letters. When it came time to cancel, their website says the request must be in writing and provides an email. I wrote over two weeks ahead of my renewal date. No answer. Followed up a week later. No answer. I had to change my card on file to a different card I don't use, then lock the card through my credit card company. They still haven't replied. ******

1 starKnowing Ive had multiple surgeries on my face and my face hurts like how they continue to mess with me when Im trying to cancel my membership. They keep saying its canceled on the phone but yet they keep charging my credit card just emailed them again to cancel it. Well see what happens.. their business model is to get your credit card information. Make it impossible for you to cancel.. $40 is a lot of money to some people every month or now Ive call my credit card company because they refuse to cancel my membership.LegalShield

1 starAbsolutely horrible experience. I spent $700+ on my membership and ended up losing my court case because the appointed attorney told me at the day before court that they didnt litigate that they only could write demand letters. I was unknowingly evicted on Thanksgiving day - causing me to fly home on an emergency ticket from ******* to *********** and was made homeless for two weeks over the holidays when my landlord was 100% in the wrong. I tried to get a different attorney after the fact to try to recoup compensation for the over $20K in damages they cost me and received multiple referrals, each of which failed to respond after spending hours to organize and scan 100s of pages of documents and evidence they requested and having having had conversations back-and-forth yet each one completely dropped the ball after weeks of time working with them - failed to respond or follow through. Complained to Legalshield with did nothing about it; never followed back up with me to see if the lawyers had finally responded or contacted the firm themselves; never was able to find a lawyer that could help me (and that is the point of paying $30 a month to ensure direct contact with an attorney who can help with your specific situation) and in the end when I asked for my membership money back, they would not give me a cent more than $29.95, which was only one months worth. They clearly didnt care they had failed me so monumentally. They did nothing more than offer a blatantly insincere apology and $30. And this was after I called to request a refund for my entire membership since it was all a waste spent hours of time on the phone on hold, talking to 4 different supervisors who had promised to call me back after they tried to get approval to refund me for the length of my membership I finally called again after waiting four weeks only to hear that $30 was their best offer. The lack of follow through was continual throughout the two years I wasted my money with them.Review fromPatrice L

5 starsI felt needing to consult with an attorney would not happen to me and that it was too costly. After joining Legalshield i am extremely grateful and pleased with there services. Legal counsel is very expensive, but a few dollars a month its worth the investment. You will receive sound advice and guidance. I feel that getting at least some kind of legal consultation will at least place me on the right pathway. I am personally very pleased with the services that I have received from legalshield. I have used them on numerous occasions, they have been very professional and supportive in all of my needs. They also have referred me to other attorneys that can support me in addressing legal matters. I would highly recommend that individuals pay for Legal shield because one day you will need to consult with attorney and the monthly cost will be well worth it.
