In July I talked to ***** *******, co-owner of Fratelli Flooring, who said his brother ****, co-owner of Fratelli Flooring and owner of S.A.C. Home Remodeling, was an experienced finish carpenter and could do the work I needed done.

July 30 **** saw the box of leftover flooring I had, the dining room door jam, the hallway, and the area in front of the refrigerator. Said I might not have enough flooring. Said he could do the work. Said what he enjoyed most in carpentry was the pride he had in his work when he was done. July 31 sent me an estimate.

August 17 **** was at my house 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. except when he went to Burger King and to visit his brother. Originally thought he could complete the job in six hours. Said he was in business to make a profit. Said he planned to close his business and just work with his brother so he could just supervise workers. I told him that I had found Bruce flooring similar to my original flooring at several stores in Toledo.

He did not do anything to the door jam expect remove the floor jam which is now missing. He repaired about 3 1/2' of the 6' hallway. The flooring next to the door jam does not fit properly. The 3' x 3' area in front of the refrigerator is now 6' x 4'. He patched the area with 1", 2", 3", 4", and 7" pieces. The joints do not fit or are not level. Pieces of flooring are cracked. Joints are side by side instead of staggered.

Said his brother sold flooring that could be put over my floor to save it. Said people often tried to repair but then covered it. I said that was not what I wanted. Said he was finished, but the floor was not. Said he would be back August 19. I helped him sweep up three dust pans of saw dust and pieces. Left Burger King container on counter, water bottle on table, and pile of unusable flooring in garage. He took the flooring information off the box. I reswept the garage. Later I emailed him Home Depot's web site for Bruce flooring.

August 17 I went to Fratelli Flooring to talk to *****. He said **** was a perfectionist; and when he could not get something right, he got upset. **** had given ***** flooring info from box. ***** knew which stores had flooring. Said **** would be there August 19, the job would be done correctly, and I would be happy.

No ****, no calls, or no emails since August 17.
