I purchased a vacuum from Rainbow for $3812.82 and the payments were supposed to be directly withdrawn from my bank account. I noticed that the company over charged me. They took 34 payments of 137.78 totaling $4,684.52. There’s no agreement for any other charges in addition to the $3812.82 balance. I this matter resolved and a credit of $871.70 returned to my bank account.Business Response

United Consumer Financial Services (“UCFS”) received your Better Business Bureau complaint. Thank
you for the opportunity to respond to your concerns.
According to our records, you co-signed a retail installment sales contract (the “Agreement”) for the
purchase of a Rainbow Cleaning System on March 9, 2022. The Agreement was between you and the
independent merchant who sold you the Rainbow Cleaning System. UCFS purchased the Agreement,
thereby, indirectly financing this transaction.
According to the terms of the Agreement, you agreed to the amount financed of $3,812.82, paid over 36
monthly installments of $137.78, with finance charges in the amount of $1,147.26 for a total amount
financed of $4,960.08. The Agreement contains the required Truth-in-Lending disclosures that clearly
explain the amount financed, the finance charges and the total of payments. A copy of your Agreement
is enclosed.
According to the payment history, you paid 36 monthly installments in the amount of $137.78 with the
last payment posting on March 22, 2025 which closed your account as paid in full. A copy of your
payment history is enclosed.
Based on the information provided and the conclusion of our investigation UCFS determined the account
was paid as agreed and no overpayment has been made to warrant a refund. UCFS will re-evaluate should
additional information be provided.

I was told by this company that they would be able to get a lower balance agreed upon with the IRS.
The only thing that they did was lower my monthly payment with the IRS from @210.00 per month to $55.00 per month but the balance remained the same (almost $6K)
Now I owe them almost $3K and my payments to them are $114.04 and I ask, for what?????
I paid them $495.00 up front. I would like to have my money refunded and also cancel my account with a zero balance. I have paid them a total of $837.12 and they did nothing to help me with my financial situation.

you purchased from United Tax Defense (“UTD”). Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your
concerns.
UCFS contracts with independent third-party merchants to purchase consumer contracts from merchants
that sell products or services. UCFS then holds the consumer’s retail installment contract and services the
debt used to purchase the product or service. UTD is one independent merchant with which UCFS has a
contractual relationship. UTD like other merchants that UCFS works with, is not an agent, legal
representative, or corporate affiliate of UCFS.
According to our records, you signed a retail installment sales contract (the “Agreement”) for the
purchase of a tax service on November 11, 2024. UCFS verified the terms of the Agreement with you on
November 11, 2024. The Agreement was between you and the independent merchant who sold you the
service. UCFS purchased the Agreement, thereby, indirectly financing this transaction.
UCFS reached out to UTD on your behalf regarding your complaint. According to UTD, services were
provided to you according to the Service Agreement between them and you. The Service Agreement
details or explains the tax services that you agreed to purchase which included but were not limited to
an Installment Agreement/Partial Payment Agreement. The Agreement does not reference reducing the
overall balance owed to the IRS but does include prevention assistance against involuntary collection
activities which, in your case, was the facilitation of a Partial Payment Installment Agreement between
you and the IRS. The IRS Form 433-D Installment Agreement was prepared on your behalf by UTD and
signed by you on January 2, 2025.

I am disputing an invalid account reported by
United Consumers financial service on my credit report. This account is inaccurate, unverified, and violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). UCFS has a contractual relationship. Timeshare Legal like other merchants that UCFS works with, is not
an agent, legal representative, or corporate affiliate of UCFS.
According to our records, you and Evette Young signed a retail installment sales contract (the
“Agreement”) for the purchase of a service from Timeshare Legal on November 27, 2024. The
Agreement was between you and Evette Young and the independent merchant who sold you both the
timeshare cancel service. UCFS purchased the Agreement, thereby, indirectly financing this transaction.
Enclosed is a copy of your Agreement.
UCFS reviewed the credit reporting performed on your account and determined the credit reporting to
be accurate based on the payment history. Your account was not paid as agreed according to the terms
of the Agreement and your account repurchased and reassigned to the merchant on or about March 31,
2025. According to our records, you were notified of the delinquency and subsequent negative credit
reporting by telephone call and USPS mail service. Enclosed is a copy of your payment history.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act §623(a)(8)(D) provides as follows: (D) Submitting a notice of dispute- A
consumer who seeks to dispute the accuracy of information shall provide a dispute notice directly to

debt used to purchase the product or service. Tax Relief Advocates (“TRA”) is one independent merchant
with which UCFS has a contractual relationship. TRA like other merchants that UCFS works with, is not an
agent, legal representative, or corporate affiliate of UCFS.
According to our records, you signed a retail installment sales contract (the “Agreement”) for the
purchase of a tax service from TRA on July 19, 2024. UCFS verified the terms of the Agreement with you
on July 19, 2024. The Agreement was between you and the independent merchant who sold you the
service. UCFS purchased the Agreement, thereby, indirectly financing this transaction.
UCFS contacted TRA in reference to your complaint. TRA informed UCFS that they are providing services
to you according to the service agreement between them and you. According to TRA they have been
making every effort to gather the necessary documents from you but you have not provided all the
requested documents that are needed for your case. TRA indicated that you had provided documents
pertaining to your auto loan but you had not provided the rest of the requested documents which
include but are not limited to Proof of Mortgage (if applicable) and Recent Bank Statements.
UCFS reviewed the credit reporting performed on your account and determined the credit reporting to
be accurate based on the payment history.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act §623(a)(8)(D) provides as follows: (D) Submitting a notice of dispute- A
consumer who seeks to dispute the accuracy of information shall provide a dispute notice directly to
such person at the address specified by the person for such notices that – (i) identifies the specific
information that is being disputed; (ii) explains the basis for the dispute; and (iii) include all supporting
