    My furnace went out on 11/11/23. I closed on my house on 4/1423. My home was newly built. My home is under warranty until April 2024. I called emergency maintenance per the instructions given to me by Maronda. Maronda authorized ********** to come out to fix my furnace. Now they do not want to pay the bill.     I have a lot of feelings about Maronda Homes.I'll start with this: I like my house.We signed our paperwork in 2020 with a delivery date of August of 2021. We did NOT move into our home in August of 2021, we did not move in until November of 2021. During this time we had 4 different construction supervisors for our job ranging between a month and 6 months on the job each and with communication levels that varied so wildly that we had no idea one of them quit for a month afterwards because thats how infrequently he contacted us or answered our calls.Between August of 2021 and November of 2021 we had 10 closing dates, finally closing on the 10th. The only reason we "Only" had 10 was because we complained about how much every single closing date upended our life and asked for compensation for how much hassle it was. They refused compensation and instead just stopped giving us dates. I don't think the people at Maronda who make these decisions have any idea what changing a closing date does to someones life. Having to rearrange time off, rearrange deliveries for furniture, appliances, internet installs, truck rentals, push out storage units, etc. Every date (which we were only given generally a few days notices on) pushed out was an ordeal. Maronda didn't care and said "Well we don't have to compensate you because in your contract it says we don't." Its called good customer service, we weren't asking for anything ridiculous, just for a patio to be poured. Since moving in we have liked our house, a lot. However we have a laundry list of items that have been waiting to be fixed, some of which were there when we closed that still are not completed. The fact is its now 9 months later and I'm still fielding phone calls on some of these issues is insanity. Would I buy a Maronda home again? Yes. However I would not close on a house with ANY issues on our checklist because Maronda has made it pretty clear they will solve them their way and on their schedule.

    Maronda Homes has been in contact with the customer to resolve these issues. We are working with the manufacturers of some of the items to get the proper materials and repairs made. Please contact our warranty manager for updates on this process.
