I had an appointment to get an estimate for a new furnace and AC for an apartment that is part of our house. I also had questions about an existing furnace and AC the company installed several years ago. I sat for about an hour with two people from the company, one of whom promised an estimate and some rep's the next day. That was July 1. Despite two follow-up calls and several emails to the company, I have heard nothing from the company. Nothing! I was poised to spend money there and I have no idea why they won't even reply to me.

While I was shopping at **** ***** ***** *******, I was approached by someone wearing a **** ***** ******* and offered a furnace tune up for $29. When they "tuned up" my furnace on Tuesday, the tech spent a lot of time on the furnace. Then he told me he had bad news, and my heat exchanger was cracked, which could leak carbon monoxide into my home. I was told the repair would be almost as much as a new furnace and the offer was made to have a sales agent come out same day for free to quote me a new furnace ($6700). In the meantime, he shut the gas to my furnace off which left our home without heat. I had our regular furnace company come out 2 days later and upon inspection, they found absolutely nothing wrong with our furnace. BEWARE - DO NOT LET ANDERSON GROUP/A NEW IMAGE HEATING & COOLING INTO YOUR HOME! THEY ARE SCAMMERS TRYING TO SELL YOU A NEW FURNACE EVEN IF YOU DON'T NEED ONE!!!

Our technician completed a heating tune up at the ******* resident on 10/08/2024. The technician spent 2 hours and 40 minutes evaluating the 16-year-old furnace. During the eval, the technician identified meter readings that indicated possible damage to the heat exchanger. Using a borescope, the technician identified damage to the heat exchanger that confirmed the meter readings of a possible CO2 leak.
Per our company's policy, we will not leave the natural gas turned when we have identified possibly unsafe conditions. We are happy to provide the photos taken of the damaged heat exchanger as well as the photos of the meter readings that lead to our diagnosis. Not all companies use borescopes to exam damaged heat exchangers, so we are happy to provide our findings and photos to the customer's regular furnace company so that an informed decision can be made by the customer.
As a company, we also believe in providing our customers with all necessary information so they can make an informed decision on repair versus replacement. Replacing a damaged heat exchanger on a 16-year-old furnace can cost a customer half the cost of a new furnace. We suggest customers receive a replacement quote and a repair quote so they can make the best decision for their comfort and peace of mind. We are sorry that the customer does not agree with our assessment of her furnace, but we stand behind our technician and his diagnosis.
