On October 2nd, 2023, I picked up my car from Beau Townsend Collision Center. They had completed some rear in damage repair on my 2014 Nissan Maxima. There had been prior damage and they were able to complete the repairs to the current damage to my satisfaction.
I did have to come right back because my left turn signal was not working.
On October 3rd, when I opened my trunk to put groceries in, I noticed that the part of my foam jack holder and my jack arm, was just laying in my trunk, I had no Jack and the wires were just hanging. I called State Farm to let them know I was heading back to the body shop.
The manager (*****) was at lunch. So **** came out to look at my trunk. I informed him of my concerns. He found the other part of the foam in the shop and told me that they had to take everything out of the trunk to do the repair and that they rushed to put it back together. He went on to say that ***** the manager would probably schedule me to bring my car in for a half of a day to correct the issues.
***** called me and had a foul attitude from the beginning. As I begin expressing my concerns about what I had told ****, he abruptly cut me off and in so many words called my a liar. He said. "I have pictures that prove there was not jack in the car when you dropped it off." **** had already shown me the pictures he was referring to. When I tried to explain that my jack was hidden in a compartment on the right side of my trunk, he pretty much told me that I did not know what I was talking about and the jack would have been under the wheel. He sarcastically said, I'll just get you one from a junk yard. I cannot remember the last time I talked to someone in management that was so rude, obnoxious and ignorant to factual information, especially at a business who carries a prominent name like Beau Townsend
At this point my jack secured in it's compartment is minutia compared to my character being questioned and being called a liar. I'm willing to take a polygraph.

    Business Response

Per my conversation with *** ******, I simply stated that we did not steal his jack, that we checked the shop area that his car was worked on and where we found the foam part that was left out. I informed him there was no jack located. I did advise him that I would purchase him one, which I did, and left him a message stating it was here and ready to be picked up at his convenience. To date, he has not yet picked it up. As far as the wires hanging down, the prior repair was so poorly performed that the panel that holds them in place is not and was not there prior to our repair, so there was no way to reattach them like they belong.

    Thank you,
