Took care in 11/20/23 to repair transmission for $3280.00. Picked up care on 5/1/24 and care was not fixed, and parts were missing.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/24/2024

    Good Morning,

*************** did obtain our services for a transmission rebuild on Nov 20, 2023. At that time a quote was given for a full rebuild of the transmission at the amount of  $2400.00. Upon further inspection it was discovered that the vehicle would need a new drum as well as a transmission control module. These parts were quoted new for $1250 or $600 used. The customer voiced they did not have much money and would prefer to go with the used option. Maximum Overdrive did not charge additional work hours to help the customer. At this time their bill was $3000. Upon completion of the transmission it was found that the car needed further work including extensive electrical and without this work it would not be drivable at this time. The customer stated that they did not want to put anymore money into repairs at this time and chose to take their vehicle home.

When the customer returned to pick up their vehicle they returned with a group of men who became combative. They started yelling threats at Maximum Overdrive workers and were advised that they would need to leave the premises. They continued to be confrontational and one of the men vandalized Maximum Overdrive property by spray painting profanity on a dumpster at the entrance to the property.

The above mentioned altercation as well as the vandalism was caught on security camera and can be provided it if need be.

I have attached the correct invoice to this file for your viewing.

Maximum Overdrive provided the service that was requested by the owner of the vehicle and stopped further repairs once notified that they did not want to pay for anything further. Since Maximum Overdrive provided the service they were hired to do we will not be issuing a refund.

If the customer continues to request a refund we will be happy to press charges for vandalism of our property.

    Thank you for your time.

My 2013 Dodge Durango went into the shop in January 2023, this business was paid a total of $1600 in Mid-February 2023. Last week on Thursday March 16, 2023, I called and acquired about my vehicle being repaired as it has been 3 months and the gentleman stated “it’ll be done soon”. Today, I called to get an update on my vehicle and no answer. I drove to the establishment and my truck is sitting in the same place it’s been with 4 flat tires.
