Dental Works Account #: ***************, Date of service was November 10, 2022 for ****** and ****** *********. We no not owe Dental Works $270.00. This is a Participating Provider under our Humana Policy. Claims were paid by Humana on 7-14-22 for services on 6-9-22. Any co-pay amounts were always paid at time of services, as well as the $70.00 co-pay on 11-10-22. On 12-7-22, Humana notified us by mail that this location is a non-participating provider. On 12-15-22 I contacted Humana at 866-537-0232. I talked to Mrs. Jada. She was to contact Dental Works to handle payment problem. Now we start with POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dental Works was purchased by another Co. I did not receive a bill for past due amounts until NOVEMBER 18, 2023, almost one year later. I contacted Mr ******** at Humana at 877-320-1235 on 11-29-23. He tried to contact Dental Works to confirm that they were in network. Representatives hung up FIVE times while I waited on hold. I contacted Carol at Dental Works on 11-30- 23 at 440-238-1591. She was to call Mr. ******** to confirm that they were in networkk. She was to call me back on 12-4-23. NO PHONE CALL WAS RECEIVED. Furthermore, Humana in most cases has a 180 day appeal window. I will not pay this $270.00 bill due to gross incompetence.

I have been a patient of Dental Works since 2015, in the Sears building at Midway Mall, Elyria, OH; the Avon Lake, Ohio location and for the past several years at the Strongsville, Ohio location. On 2/28/2022, I ordered an Occlusal guard to help prevent teeth grinding. I chose Dental Works because of a brand new laser machine they had which digitally took an impression of my upper and lower teeth. The process took about 15-minutes and was done in the office by a staff member. The digital impression is then sent out and 3-weeks later, I returned and the impression fit perfectly. I was charged $353 and paid out of pocket as this was not covered by insurance. On 6/22/2022, I returned to the Strongsville Dental Works and requested to order a replacement guard as mine was lost. I was told I would have to undergo the entire procedure all over again and pay the full amount of $353. I offered to sign a waiver or release and stated I merely wanted to order a duplicate mouth guard and the image was already on file. I was told they would not and had to start all over again. If the image is already on file and I am willing to sign a release, I don't quite understand why Dental Works has to charge me the full amount or why they treat a long-time customer in this manner. Is Dental Works that desperate for every penny that a customer should have to pay twice the full amount when the image on file is only 3-months old? Before I left, I asked the Office Manager for the number to Dental Works Corporate Office to voice my concern. She gave me two numbers, both non-working numbers. After requesting a copy of all my medical records and receiving them, she then stated someone from Corporate would be in touch with me. If you are reading this, I would say beware of Dental Works and their business practices. If this is how they treat long-time customers, then imagine how you will be treated. Also, Google them and look at the amount of complaints filed against this company.
