*** ******* explained to me that my case could cost $5,500 it could be more it could be much less. He also said that if the case took only an hour of his time he would not be charging a thousand dollars because that would not be ethical. I trusted *** ******* and I agreed to have him represent me. I then paid Patituce & Associates $1,000 via debit card with Huntington Bank to secure representation at Barberton Municipal Court. At Barberton Municipal Court *** ******* said that the prosecutor would not speak with him, we would not be meeting before a judge and gave me a paper to sign and then we both left. We did not even spend 10 minutes at the court house that day. After not speaking to *** ******* for approximately one month I received a phone call from my wife explaining that everything had been dismissed. I then called *** ******* to let him know that everything had been dismissed and I would no longer be in need of his services. *** ******* did not even know the case had taken place, I had to inform him of when and the result. I asked him to please just let me know if I owed him any more money or if he owed me any money back so we could just get this all behind us. He then reached out to me the next day stating that I would owe him $5,500 for the services he provided because it went to Grand Jury. *** ******* also informed my wife and I that he did not speak with the prosecutor of the Grand Jury case and advised my wife to speak with the prosecutor. I explained to *** ******* that I believed that was an insane amount for him to charge me for 10 minutes of his time. I then asked him to please send me an itemized receipt of the services he provided that would give me a $5,500 bill. *** ******* never sent the itemized receipt. I still have not heard from *** *******, but this morning $1,000 was withdrawn from my bank account on his behalf. I believe I should be refunded this amount and *** ******* should be a man of his word.
