I saw a rental house listing on both Zillow and ******** Marketplace at I believe *************************************************** for a reasonable price. I called the number listed for more information and was answered by Keller Williams Chervenic Realty who gave me the number for ***************************, the property manager. She did not pick up so I left a message, also sent a FB message as she was the one who listed it on marketplace. I went ahead and applied through KW's website because I need to find housing in the area very quickly to start a new job and I figured that house would go quick. I paid $100 total on my credit card for my partner and I's applications and at checkout it said I may be charged an extra undisclosed amount later on, which was a bit disconcerting as I know background checks cost less than $50 and I had not even had contact with ***************************. Almost a week later now, I have called Keller Williams' main office trying to get in touch with anyone who knows any details about this house or ****** ("she is just VERY busy"), tried multiple times to call *************************** to schedule showings or even hear if she received our application only to leave voicemails. If I am not able to get in touch with her before even renting I have NO desire for her to be my landlord. I believe she/Keller Williams are just leaving the ad up for an extended amount of time to rake in money from application fees since it is a more affordable house for the area. This seems like a fraudulent practice, how long will they leave it up before FINALLY renting it out? I was super excited about this house and now I just want my application withdrawn and my $100 "nonrefundable" application fee returned with no chance of receiving these other mystery charges down the line. I have no desire to rent from KW/*************************** if they are this neglectful from the start, and I wish I had read the countless other reviews for KW's property management that make it sound like this is a frequent occurrence.
