I contacted ******* Heating and Air Conditioning when my furnace went out on Saturday, November 13. The individual who answered the phone stated he would be out that morning. He also mentioned that since this was an emergency call, the service charge would be higher than normal. I said I understood, and asked if the fact that it was a weekend would mean an additional charge on top of that, and he said no.Individual arrived soon afterward. After more than two hours of going up and down the stairs and spending time on the phone and in and out in his truck, he finally stated that there was a problem with the thermostat. This is the thermostat that the same Company, *******, had installed about three years earlier when they installed a new air conditioning unit. The ******* technician said he made the repair, but that we should have an electrician come out to run a more direct line to the furnace. I didnt understand what he meant and asked if the repair was temporary, and if it was safe. He assured me it was fine, but that an electrician was somehow needed. When I paid him, a sum of $340, he said there was an additional charge because this was the weekend. The furnace was working, but within an hour after his departure, the furnace exhaust vent leading outside began to leak water onto the basement floor. This had never happened before. I contacted ******* the following Monday but was told that dripping water had nothing to do with the repair that was made. I said that *** be so, but it seems logical, also, that something the technician had done had caused the problem. Again, this problem started shortly of the technicians departure. The company representative, who I believe was also a part owner of the company, refused to allow for this possibility or to send someone out to check on it without an additional charge. I told the individual I would not be using his company again and hung up. A minute later, he called me back, not to offer any help, but to continue the

Don't go with this company! Do your research. We had an old boiler and after paying them a lot of money for a pump and safety valve - the technicians they have are not specialized in old boilers. I talked to ****** (who I believe is owner) and he blamed it on our boiler and that we didn't have bleeders. NO tests were done to see if boiler was still working. Not Brandon's technician nor ****** and a field technician that came out next day. They also wanted to put bleeders on our registers. Again, without testing boiler to see if it was working. Unfortunately, we lost 1,500 bucks. I asked ****** if he would buy back parts since we needed a new boiler and cannot use them. He wouldn't buy them back. Plus, my husband helped Brandon's technician ALL day. I was also insulted by ****** telling me I just don't get it. Yeah, i get it...they took my money and have nothing to show for it. We found out from another company that had technicians who knew what tests to run. It took them a couple hours versus 6+ w/Brandon who never diagnosed the problem.

*** - we have received a copy of your 1-star review, placed with the BBB, for the service call you requested on 12/19. Although you were not available to talk to the technician during the service call, we have spoken by phone since the service call to try to explain to you the repairs that were performed, the issues still present and the recommendation of replacement moving forward. We understand that not all answers are the answers someone might want to hear, but unfortunately, those are the facts. To back up the facts, we offered to send an independent, certified boiler expert - AT NO CHARGE - to your home to look at your system and either validate our observations or tell us we were completely wrong. You refused this offer and decided for yourself that our observations were incorrect. It is certainly ok to have an opinion, but it is not ok to share an opinion that is not based on facts. We take our reviews VERY seriously and will make every effort to correct any and all errors as allowed by the State of Ohio Mechanical Code. Upon completion of repairs, your boiler was functioning properly (which means it was tested, ***). You turned the boiler off later that evening due to a new issue that presented itself because your boiler is not up to code, ***. Again, we provided you with a long-term solution for this issue that would bring your system up to code and eliminate issues such as this in the future (and refund your repair costs) but unfortunately you had already decided that "another company that had technicians who knew what tests to run" could better solve your problem. We would love to know the expert you found that was able to bleed all of the air from a system that had no bleeder valves ever installed. If the expert is willing to talk to us and validate that our replacement of your pump and motor assembly is not functioning properly, and provide documentation that your system is designed properly and there is a way to purge 100% of the air from your system with no bleeder valves, we will certainly take this one on the chin and refund 100% of the repair costs you paid to us on 12/19. It's your call. Please reach out at your convenience with the contact information for your boiler expert.
