BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Don't just read my complaint, read all of the others. If you do decide to use them DO NOT SIGN - DO NOT SIGN all of the paperwork they try to get you to sign as soon as they come through your door. Have them send every document they need you to sign days at least one week before your moving date. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING THEY GIVE YOU on the day of the move. They make you feel obligated to sign everything or they're not going to move you. You can’t thoroughly read everything they ask you to initialize because you will be too busy directing them. All of those documents are to protect them from being responsible for damaging your items including expensive electronics.
On 2/22/24 Move 4 Less sent four movers to move 2 apartments into one house. I scheduled the move with them and paid more for their service because I believed they would take good care of my items. I do not believe the people working on my move did things efficiently. Only two of them actually did the work because the other two were standing around in the hallway or in the truck. I was told that two people were supposed to be working in each apartment but this is not what they did. This added more time to the job. The price was much higher than the two previous quotes they gave me.
DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO HANDLE ANY LARGE FLAT SCREEN TELEVISION ABOVE 40 INCHES. THEY WILL ABSOLUTELY DESTROY IT.
I saw them breaking my 75" Sony TV and told them that they were handling it wrong. When I turned on the TV the screen was damaged. Then they referred to something that I don't remember reading, that said they practically didn't have to pay for it. I took a lot of time to fill out the inventory list that they wanted.
***BEWARE THE 60 cent per pound document!!!!! *** They slip this in on you especially when they know they likely broke something. I believe the guy ran this in front of me just as he ran out the door.

While our goal is to provide a damage free move unfortunately things happen that are out of our control. In this case Move 4 Less accepted responsibility for the damage incurred on 2/22/2024 to the customers TV. The customer chose valuation at the rate of .60 per pound. Based on the weight of the TV (75 lbs) we are responsible for $45.
We always provide a quote in advance of the job via email. This quote allows the customer to review/edit their inventory as well as review the information regarding valuation for damaged items and other important information pertaining to their move. Prior to the move and on the day of the move, the customer has the option to purchase additional valuation for their items. On 2/19/2024, the customer viewed and accepted their quote via email.
Again, our goal is provide a damage free moving experience. In this case we fell short and for that we apologize. However, the statements that the customer have made are not completely true.

Their response to my complaint states that “However, the statements that the customer have made are not completely true.” That’s an interesting choice of words “not COMPLETELY true”. It’s also interesting how all of their business cards show “MOVE 4 LESS” but they’re listed on several online sites as “MOVE FOR LESS”. Why is that?
“MOVE 4 LESS” or “MOVE FOR LESS” did not in any way, shape or form provide to me, in advance, any of the documents that I was required to sign on the day of the move. These documents are not available to download. So, is this what they are saying is “not completely true”?
The large sum of papers that “MOVE 4 LESS” or “MOVE FOR LESS” rushed me to sign allows them not to compensate their customers for damages that they cause. Maybe this is the part that is “not completely true”?
Most importantly, they admitted to their main SCAM. DO NOT SIGN THE DOCUMENTS THEY PRESS YOU TO SIGN WHEN THEY ARRIVE. DO NOT SIGN OR INITIAL ANYTHING. NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD EVER AGREE TO RECEIVING 60 CENTS PER POUND FOR ANYTHING UNLESS THEY DIDN’T KNOW THEY WERE AGREEING TO IT. If their customers were ever to receive these documents in advance, they would read this section and, of course, not agree to it. This is why their process is the way it is. To DEFRAUD their customers with a flurry of last minute documents, thrown in front of them under the threat of not having their items moved on the day in which it was scheduled.
The damage they did to my TV was completely within their control.
Each and every part of my statement is COMPLETELY true.
