    Hi *******! We hate to hear this. Weve made several improvements ti ensure our customers understand our return policy. We have every sale communication noted if it is final sale as well as at checkout an acknowledgment check **** that you must read before you can complete the purchase. As well as the BBB also adding our return policy on the top of our listing. We do not ever want to make the fine print hard to find. We are a very loyal small business that is dedicated to keeping our prices as low as possible.

    I wish I had read the reviews before making several purchases. I am always a meduim but not with ******. Clothes are huge and they will not exchange or refund your money. Only in store credit which they try there hardest not to give you. I returned a sweater that was huge and they said it smelled like perfume so no credit. I tried it on one time and put it back in the sack. So I call BS. Buyer beware!!!!

    Beware when ordering from this company!!! I ordered nearly $200 in merchandise of which 3 dresses did not fit. One of the items did not have the size I needed, so I was going to count it as a loss. The other item was in stock. I requested an exchange for this one but requested a refund for the third item. My requests were rejected. Now I am stuck with clothing I cannot wear. I purchased from this company due to my job requiring me to dress professionally. It would helpful to patrons to be made aware that items will not be accepted back. Beware before you buy!!!!

    Be assured that this company will not stand behind its product, even when demonstrated defective. On February 16, ****, I purchased two supposed sweatshirts and two leggings. Neither of the shirts were soft and both arrived heavily oversized. I decided to wash them to see if theyd shrink a little as is typical of most clothing, one survived the wash just fine, the other did not. When removed from the wash, I noticed severe fraying along one of the hem lines along the bottom. In response, I reached out to customer service for a return and was told because the garment was washed, a return/nor exchange was possible. I was expecting it because many others here and online have conveyed customer services issues with this business. Their archaic return policies are written in such a way as to avoid returns at all COST! There are no refunds other than store credit. From whats shared here, a store credit doesnt even seem possible when abiding by policy. So, consider this a heads-up to those deciding whether to do business with Betseys Boutique Shop. They dont stand by their product, nor do they care about quality and great customer service. As a small business owner myself, Im appalled by their business model. My clients are my world! Ethics matter. Betseys Boutique has none!

    This customer placed an order ************* on February 16, 2024. The customer requested to return one item because she stated that after washing the item it was then damaged. We did not approve of the return because we have it clearly stated in our return policy that once an item is washed we are unable to return the product. The sweatshirt you purchased does have raw hemmed edges that are clearly visible in the product picture.     Placed an order of four items and needed to return one because the shirt was big and looked awful. The company rejected the return because of one of their many ridiculous reasons. Companies that allow online ordering should understand some things wont fit or be liked once they are tried on. Im willing to pay the shipping and accept the difference if the item was purchased on sale, but they dont accept any of that. Not great customer service!

    This customer placed an order ************ on February 3, 2024. The items purchased were purchased through our winter clearance sale tab. These items are all clearly stated as final sale. They are all deeply discounted. We have graphics on the page, emails and our return policy have all stated that the items are all final sale. The customer then received her item and wanted to return it. We did not approve the request because they are final sale. https://shopbetseys.com/pages/return-policy FINAL SALE ITEMS All sale items, daily deals, holiday/special boxes or items purchased with a coupon code of 30% off or more or any type of Buy One Get One sale are all final sale and can not be returned or exchanged. If any of these items are sent back we will give you the option to pay to have the item shipped back to you or donated to a local charity. If we do not receive a response within 7 business days the item will be donated to a local charity. All Jewelry, Home Decor and Accessories (hats, scarves, earrings, tights, leggings, hair accessories, gift cards) can NOT be returned.

    Ordered two pairs of jeggings and wore them once to work. They started to pill in the thighs. I reached out to customer service and they requested a picture of the size tags. They responded with well your legs rub together theres nothing we can do about that. They wont do anything else but fat shame you! Wont stand behind their product. This company should be ashamed of being women owned and selling to women. Gross. Will never buy from them again.

    ***** we apologize you feel that way. The items you are referring to were purchased in August. Our policy states that you have 14 days to report damages. We can not accept worn items back. These items were well past that time frame. When we reached out to our vendor they replied to let us know that normal wear and tear where the items may have contact is not something that they can cover. We in no way are fat shaming anyone. No matter your size we think its pretty common that wear and tear happens. We provide clothing at affordable prices and stand behind all of our items. We are sorry you feel like you didnt get that.

    I’d had my eye on several Betsey’s outfits for quite awhile but was hesitant to order due to them being online and me being somewhat between sizes. I took a chance and ordered during their Labor Day sale though. The sizing of a few items were not consistent with the sizing chart, and the model sizing info was also missing so there was no basis of comparison. I took a chance and ordered using my own judgment. Unfortunately, after spending nearly $150, only one item fit. When I asked about returns, I was told that since they were purchased during a Labor Day sale (30% off) the items were final sale. I’ve never heard of final sale during a site wide sale - only for clearance items that are clearly marked as “final sale”. This was not the case. Listen, I understand being a small business, but if you’re going to sell clothing online, it seems like a common sense thing to allow for returns since customers can’t try the items on in store. With a better return policy, I could’ve been a lifelong customer - I think the clothing is adorable. Unfortunately, I will not be shopping at Betsey’s again, and I wouldn’t recommend them to other potential online customers due to the lack of flexibility.

    We do allow returns however when items are discounted at 30% or more all items are final sale. We have this stated on EVERY promotional header, email, text, and ad that we have out for the sale. We purposely do not have automatic discounts so that you have to read the header to get the code to apply the discount. We have a very detailed return policy stated on the website as well as taking the extra time to have the BBB post it on our business profile. We could easily double our prices like big box retailers and allow for all the returns that customers want but in the end thats not why we are in business. We are here to provide a great product at an affordable price. If you want to TRY a company out I would recommend that you read policies first!

    Yikes, I wish I’d listened to these reviews.
    First of all - the clothing sizes are outrageous. I usually wear a medium or large and have DD boobs. I ordered mediums and small tops and they’re all massive.
    Second of all - they have weird return policies like everyone here has stated.
    Third - they add on a fee in your cart that you have to constantly remove if you change something in the cart. Maybe just don’t auto-add weird shipping insurance policies. Literally no one else does that.

    Our sizing is all boutique brands. Our model is a small and is in a small in every photograph. We do not editing or altering of items. All brands will fit different and if youre not familiar with boutique brands then we would recommend you shop in one of our locations. The weird fee youre referring to is a company called order defense. Its a simple check **** if you do not want to have insurance on your items. Its not something that we do to just charge you but to offer an insurance on packaged in case they become stolen, lost in transit, or misplaced by the carrier. Our policies are standard in the boutique business. We arent a big box retailer we are a *****************. We understand its not going to be for everyone and thats fine. Thats why we proudly display our policies.

    I purchased a blouse and after washing it per the tag's instructions ONCE, the threds split apart and the shirt had a giant hole on the side seam. After emailing the boutique, I was told that because I didn't let them know within 5 days of a damaged item, they wouldn't be able to do anything. Customer service kept telling me that I should've told them within 5 days that it arrived damaged. I repeated multiple times that the item arrived undamaged but it couldn't even make it through 1 wash. Customer service refuses to do anything / offer any helpful solutions. I will take my business elsewhere and I would recommend that anyone else who is reading this, should do the same and shop at their competitors.
    TLDR: When this boutique sells you a poor quality item, their customer service is even worse quality. They won't do anything to make it right with the customer, despite them selling a blouse that can't make it through 1 wash.
