    In November of 22 they installed a new floor in our office. A few months later we started seeing what looked like "glue" seeping from the floor (see pics). **** (the owner) came out to look at it, he didn't know why this happed and said he could put a new top coat on for $350.00. We needed this to be done on a Saturday when we are closed for business. He asked us to wait towards the end of the year due to his busy work schedule. After leaving many messages, texts and emails he responded back January 13, 2025. The price changed to $1125!! Fast forward to today. We had 3 different floor companies look at the floor and they all said it would need to be removed and a new floor installed. They all agreed that it wasn't installed properly. When the old floor was removed it came off in sheets due to the fact that it never bonded to the concrete! The concrete was never prepared properly. There was also water below the old floor due to it seeping through the floor every time we mopped (see pics)! Bottom line is we had to have the floor replaced in less than 3 years after it was installed due to poor workmanship and materials!! Cutting Edge also charged twice what we had it replaced for today!!

    Please note that it is expected that the response be posted in its entirety for the review you
    have made public for ***** ******** of Finn Tire & Automotive. Additionally, your letter
    states “Second Notice”. Know that this was the First and Only notice we have received
    from you and we are taking time out of our day to reply to this in a timely manner.
    Cutting Edge Decorative Concrete has been in business for over 30 years, providing
    professional epoxy flooring and decorative concrete services. We take great pride in our
    workmanship and reputation. We must firmly dispute the false and misleading claims
    made by Finn Tire & Automotive regarding their November 2022 installation.

    Installation Quality
    The epoxy floor was installed to industry standards and inspected upon completion.
    Photographs show a seamless, defect-free finish.

    Reported Fluid Seepage
    Months later, Finn Tire reported three pinholes leaking liquid. Our owner, **** ****,
    personally inspected and observed clear water and brown oily fluid pushing up from
    beneath the slab—a sign of a building or plumbing issue, not epoxy failure. He repaired
    the holes at no charge and explained the issue seemed to be related to water or fluid
    pushing upward from underneath the coating.

    Maintenance Sealer and Pricing
    At Finn Tire’s request to increase the shine of the floor, we offered:
    • A free maintenance sealer coat if they cleaned the floor.
    • A $350 overtime charge if they required Saturday work.
    • A separate $1,125 quote for a completely new polyaspartic topcoat, which is a different,
    more labor-intensive process.
    All email communications are on file and copies attached confirm these were distinct
    services, not a price increase.

    Communication History
    After our January 2025 email clarifying options, Finn Tire provided no further
    communication or opportunity for us to address any concerns before filing this complaint.

    Photographic Evidence
    Finn Tire’s own photos show substantial standing water beneath the removed floor.
    Epoxy coatings are seamless and non-porous—mop water cannot seep downward. The
    water indicates sub-slab moisture or plumbing problems that, if unresolved, will likely
    damage any replacement floor.

    Conclusion
    Cutting Edge acted in good faith and beyond warranty obligations. We request that the
    BBB recognize these facts and consider that the complaint contains false and misleading
    statements harmful to our business reputation.
